Cedric Schofield is an athletic and versatile forward who plays with a lot of energy on both ends of the floor. He plays mainly above the rim in transition situations as a lob threat while also creating his own opportunities to attack the basket. The high energy he brings makes him tough to guard man to man off the ball as he keeps possessions alive while aggressively going after offense rebounds. Defensively he has the ability to guard both on the perimeter and inside the paint. Cedric currently holds several offers, but I think he deserves more due to what he provides on both ends of the floor.

Schofield is a big man out of Keenan High (SC) to get to know as he joins the 1 of 1 Academy frontcourt in 2024-25. He’s a 6-foot-7 big man who’s shown he can hold his own in the painted area after putting up 13.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game as a junior. He’ll look to operate as a defensive anchor in the 1 of 1 rotation on a national scale.

Schofield is back at Eau Claire this season with new Head Coach Junior Laurie. He previously played at Keenan HS last season. Cedric has been a bit under the radar in my opinion over the years since we first saw him come over from the Augusta, GA area. Schofield is a bit of a pogo stick around the bucket. He cleans up on the glass at both ends of the floor. Cedric plays the game with a very set of active hands.
Cedric needs to finish better at times around the cup is extremely quick off the floor. He tends to play his best basketball closer to the bucket and staying active at all times.

Schofield has had a strong Spring so far and continued it with his play at the Big Shots Carolina Live. He likes to set up shop in and around the paint on offense, using his length and athleticism to score at the rim. He put up 12 Points and 6 Rebounds in that matchup with SB Elite. Despite his more slender frame, Cedric is a strong finisher and doesn’t shy away from contact with the ball in his hands. He also is a good rim protector and has good rebounding instincts.

Schofield finally came out of his shell it seemed. Cedric played very aggressive and assertive today with his play around the basket. He plays bigger than his size and has the ability to rebound outside of his area when needed. Schofield runs the floor and fills the lane in transition very well. Cedric is a quick leaper and has the ability to challenge and alter shots on the defensive end.

Schofield got a slow start after picking up 3 quick fouls here today. Cedric plays his best basketball around the cup area for the Raiders. Schofield will look to flush back putbacks on the glass while playing around the cylinder. Cedric fills the lane nicely in transition at times and really looks to be figuring things out at times with his overall play. Schofield played last season at nearby Eau Claire HS.

was one of the top in-state prospects at the 2023 Chick-fil-A Classic and his play in the event earned a selection to the All-Tournament Team. In the event, he was tied for 8th in scoring at 16.7 Points Per Game, also averaging 7.7 Rebounds Per Game and 1.3 Blocks Per Game. On Saturday, Schofield was exceptional. He opened the game with 8 of the Raider’s first 10 points and was determined to put his fingerprints on the game on both ends of the floor. He used his athleticism and length to finish over defenders and protect the rim. Cedric also proved he can hit some jump shots to keep the defense honest in the half-court offense, but he was at his best getting to the rim in transition.
