. Coyie is one of the best shooters in the Palmetto State and plays for Chesnee High School in Class 2A Region 1. He had a great Junior Year averaging 13.7 Points Per Game while shooting 49% from three on nearly 150 attempts. Poole’s shooting is crucial to the Eagles but he can also keep defenses off balance with his ability to create off the dribble. He plays closeouts well with a good handle, confidence in the mid-range, a crafty floater, and skill in finishing around the rim. Coyie rarely forces bad shots on the perimeter and has a good feel for when to make the extra pass to an open man or when the defense rotates toward him on dribble drives.

Poole is back at Chesnee HS for the Eagles. Coyie averaged 13.7 ppg last season for the Eagles in his return year. He played his sophomore season at Broome HS. Coyie shoots the ball at a good clip from the perimeter for Head Coach Zach Baldinelli. He certainly feels most comfortable playing off the ball and knocking down open shots.
Can the Eagles make some noise in the Upstate this coming season?

Coyie is one of the better spot-up shooters in South Carolina’s 2025 Class and he had a nice game against Travelers Rest on Friday. While the perimeter shots weren’t falling at an extremely efficient rate, he still had 5 makes on 11 attempts and did much more than just catch and shoot. He did a solid job of making plays off the dribble in both half court and in transition. Poole can finish through contact with either hand but is also comfortable with his floater over rim protectors. Coyie went for 27 Points in the win and you can expect him to be one of the state’s top per-game scorers if Chesnee is successful this coming fall.

Poole really likes to work his magic from the perimeter. Coyie has a good quick release on his shot and shoots the ball at a good clip. He’s always ready to receive the ball in the pocket for square up look at the basket. Coyie understands on how to get to his spots for good looks on the floor.

Coyie is running with Next Level Elite Poole this season, coached by his father Howie Poole. They have a very balanced squad and Coyie could be seen playing either spot in the backcourt. He was at the 2-guard most often on Saturday, where his shooting ability stood out. He knocked down both of his attempts from behind the arc and had a handful of assists to pair with it. Poole was one of the most efficient shooters in the state this past high school season – shooting over 50% from three with 70 makes – so his outing this weekend was no surprise.

Like his brother, Coyie will return to Chesnee after spending the past season at Broome. Coyie will play a little more off the ball, but can heat up quickly. He is a terrific spot-up shooter that has a very wide base on his release, which makes it hard for defenders to tell whether he will drive or shoot. His best performance yesterday came against his former team when he had 17 Points, 6 Rebounds, and 3 Steals in a Win over the Centurions.

Poole made the move over to the Centurions this fall from nearby Chesnee HS. Coyie has started to grow and look for him to very instrumental in the future of the Broome HS basketball program. Coyie recently played in the Prep Hoops South Carolina Top 250 Expo earlier this month in Myrtle Beach.

Poole will have a new address come this season and that will be at Broome HS in Spartanburg. Coyie recently left Chesnee HS for the Centurions along with his brother.
Poole is starting to grow and fill out some on his frame. Coyie is a very confident player and really look to fill it up when he can. Look for him and his brother to be great additions to this Centurions roster this coming winter.
