Improving his skills with the ball, his tighter handle and quicker moves with the ball make Sevy a key name with the Grandview program. Continuing to get stronger, he looks to take on opposing forwards in the post, active contributing fadeaways or finesse finishes. His production weighed heavily for this program, still searching for consistent shotmaking.
Highlights
Barger’s mobility and high motor were on full display, throwing down plenty of dunks in transition or from the dump off pass. His post hook shot attempts were on full display, getting to the right hand above opposing forwards routinely.
Highlights
Andrews will be a major riser going through the summer and into the next season, bringing a strong frame alongside dependable footwork creating shot attempts. A smooth post scorer, he looks to create space with a bump before pivoting into a finesse finish. He competes on both ends, bringing in a high motor trapping opposing ball handlers or crashing the glass versus anyone.
Highlights
Showing improved confidence in the jump shot, specifically from a standstill, Cobb is showing flashes of his wing upside. Getting a large portion of his offensive opportunities from along the perimeter, the forward looks to rip and drive more often than not. Active in setting up perimeter playmakers from handoffs or ball screens, his presence will be imperative to South’s halfcourt flow. This is all on top of the notable athleticism, active throwing down dunks or blocking shots from the help side.
Highlights
Folk continues to bring the high motor on the glass, alongside the lanky frame at roughly 6’8. Effective protecting the rim from weak side rotations, the forward maintains active hands while contesting shots at the rim. Although typically a rim rolling option for his scoring opportunities, Folk has made strides rounding out his offensive game. Capable knocking down spot-up threes, he hit a few corner and wing threes in his pair of outings on Tuesday.
Duncan already looks at home at the varsity level, as a determined, high motor wing prospect. Already quick getting by opponents off the rip through, he had numerous scoring attempts at the rim through his opportunities. His quick first step and competitive verticality allows him to be a constant threat on the glass, notably playing as the 5 for Smoky Hill at the most recent league games. Duncan brings in a surprisingly strong frame for someone at his age, capable of holding his own in the paint when necessary.
Highlights
Thomas brings a wiry and athletic mold along the wing, tasked with guarding up if necessary or switching onto perimeter scoring threats if needed as well. He brings a low usage, yet highly impactful need for this roster, depended on heavily for his versatility on that end. He displayed some verticality in transition, throwing down a couple dunks when given space to elevate.
