2027's rankings got a shake-up this cycle as we added several names who earned their way on the list after proving themselves on the summer and fall circuit. These players showed consistency, growth, and flashes that demanded attention and we paid attention as a result. Here are a few newcomers who made the leap from the watch list to the rankings and now belong in the conversation as serious underclassmen to watch.

Dumbuya is a player who we got to see a few times this summer, and the thing that cannot be taken away by him is his ability to compete on the boards. Kareem is a big man who plays above his size, grabs boards in bunches, and goes right back up with the basket. He keeps the ball high, has great footwork, and a soft touch around the rim. He's a physical big man that can move defenders down low, has a back-to-the-basket game and also sets screens and roll. Defensively, he guards straight up, puts his hands up to deflect or alter shots, and competes on that end of the floor. With how many guards that West has, it will be great to see how he offers an inside-out attack but based on what we seen from him this Summer/Fall, he's a player that can help them out and that is why we made a push. Good work, Kareem. Now it's time to show it on strictly varsity reps.

Nacir is a player that we've seen have himself some solid days. He's a glue guy who at times, takes over as the alpha as a skilled combo-guard that competes on every possession. This summer we saw him have his moments as guard who controls tempo, has a good balance of finishing at the rim and mid range jumpshots as well as turning guards over for easy scoring opportunities. Nacir goes and takes the game rather than allowing it to come to him and that is where you make your mark as a spark. For South, we've saw him also still make an impact for the team as a do-it-all guard, and that is exactly what they will need this year. He makes the jump.

Reed is a player whom we have now gotten eyes on a few times, and we like what we've seen. He's a hard-working guard who plays with a ton of effort, defends at a high level, and is constantly moving. We've seen him impact the game with his movement as he slashes for baskets, spaces the floor with a steady outside shot, and keeps teammates involved. That Arapahoe team is a scrappy bunch who competes on every possession, plays the right way, and Reed fits right in. He'll be a player who gets to make his mark this season and he jumps onto the rankings with some solid Fall ball. Varsity season is up next!

Holloway makes a significant jump in the rankings by going from a watch list prospect to a player inside of the Top-100, and it's due to his production at the varsity level. He's a guard who has affected the game with activity on the defensive end and is a player that they look for to set the tone. He does just that. Holloway is a core player who has the numbers to back it, is the team's best defender and is a player on the opposing team's game plan. He has infectious energy that teammates feed of, scores when he's called upon, and is a bright spot for his team. This year should be no difference but now it comes with the recognition. Solid player.
