has been a vital floor general for the Strasburg Indians throughout their impressive 26-2 campaign last season. A 5’10” junior guard, Holloway has proven to be a master of backcourt efficiency with limited minutes, averaging 5.6 PPG while finishing second in assists (2.8 APG). Holloway’s impact was never more apparent than during Strasburg’s deep run in the 3A state tournament, dropping a clutch 14-point outing in a thrilling win over Forge Christian. Beyond his playmaking, Holloway is a defensive pest on the perimeter, utilizing his quick hands to disrupt opposing offenses to acquire 1.8 SPG. His ability to balance scoring outbursts with selfless distribution and lock-down defense has made him an indispensable piece of a Strasburg squad that finished the year ranked among the top 10 teams in the state.

Holloway is an X factor and a dog-like mentality player who can heat up at any time. It’s about culture over there, and he brings exactly what they need at times. In their Great 8 game, he provided a spark with 9 points and made it so that the defense had to keep an eye on them. While everyone else was getting a ton of attention, he was the one who was quietly making big plays happen, and that matters. This team is battle-tested, and he brings them a reliable source of production.

Holloway makes a significant jump in the rankings by going from a watch list prospect to a player inside of the Top-100, and it’s due to his production at the varsity level. He’s a guard who has affected the game with activity on the defensive end and is a player that they look for to set the tone. He does just that. Holloway is a core player who has the numbers to back it, is the team’s best defender and is a player on the opposing team’s game plan. He has infectious energy that teammates feed of, scores when he’s called upon, and is a bright spot for his team. This year should be no difference but now it comes with the recognition. Solid player.

Holloway is heading into his 3rd year on varsity and is a player that has impacted the program in a positive way. He heads into the year as one of the team’s best defenders and if he’s able to elevate his game on that end of the floor that will get them back in a spot where they can bring home the trophy. Holloway is a hard-nosed defender that’s aggressive, gets in the passing lanes and you can put him on opposing guards to slow them down. That’s something that we want to see in a showcase setting as well as that will allow him to shine bright in a spot that offense is always the focal point. We would love to see him get there and showcase himself.

Holloway is an especially proactive passer, keeping the ball moving quickly. The guard keeps the ball from sticking too often, doing his part to get everyone an opportunity on offense. Either from a slow or fast pace, Holloway excelled throughout the freshman showcase event this past August. His role as an offensive prospect will be intriguing, already bringing a notable IQ for his age. Quick decision makers are always a convenient option for a coach.
