Hopwood is a player who is coming off a remarkable season, as he led his team to a state championship. He’s an All-State performer as he put up 17.9 points and 5 rebounds a game as a junior. Hopwood showed up and showed out in the playoffs and is a two-way standout for Strasbur,g who will have to double down and look to lead his team to back-to-back. There will be plenty of eyes and pressure on him this year, but with how he showed that he can take over at times, I fully expect for it to look easy or him this year. 

Hopwood is better than people think, and this year will be where I feel that the noise gets louder. He had a monster season as a junior as he led Strasburg to a 26-2 record as they won their conference and their first state title in school history. Hopwood was named to the 3A 1st Team All-State squad and still feels a bit underrated. He plays all positions for Strasburg, he scored from all 3-levels and when they needed him to go and be a lockdown forward, he was able to do that. Hopwood averaged 17.9 points and 5 rebounds a game. He also had two steals a game and was where the opposing team’s game plan began. I fully expect him to take the momentum that he had as a junior, along with the accolades and put up an even more impressive senior year. I do wish we got to see him in the Summer and hopefully, he gets out to a showcase or two for the Fall. He’s not sneaking up on anyone as he’s as accomplished as any other player in the state, but this should be the year he’s talked about even more. 

Hopwood exploded onto the scene as a junior, elevating every part of his game and proving he’s no longer someone you can overlook. He improved across the board statistically and played a key role in a state championship run, showing he can impact winning at the highest level. A dynamic three level scorer, he can push the pace in transition or slow things down and control the game when needed. His monster 37 point, 13 rebound performance highlighted just how dominant he can be. With his versatility, production and big game impact, Hopwood has made it clear that he can’t be slept on anymore

Hopwood had a monster performance in the second round against Highland, putting together one of the most dominant outings of the playoffs. He finished with 37 points and 13 rebounds, completely taking control of the game from start to finish. Hopwood consistently got to his spots offensively, showing patience and confidence every time he touched the ball. As a true three level scorer, he was able to hurt the defense from everywhere, whether it was attacking the rim, knocking down mid range shots and stretching the floor from deep. On top of the scoring, he battled on the glass and created extra opportunities for his team. It was a commanding performance for Strasburg that showcased his ability to take over when the moment calls for it

Strasburg is undefeated on the season and looks to be the team to beat this year. They’re a balanced attack, they play the right way, and they play for one another. Their most reliable player is also a 1st Team All-State athlete, Brody Hopwood Brody Hopwood 6'3" | CG Strasburg | 2027 State CO . Hopwood quarterbacks the team on the hardwood. He has good size at 6’3, he uses his athleticism, and he’s very physical. He’s putting up an impressive 21.8 points a game, which is both an inside and out attack. He scores in bunches, he battles on the boards (4.8 rpg), and when he’s getting too much attention, he is a willing passer that makes the right play. Culture is something that they’re pushing hard over at Strasburg, and with him leading the way, I feel they have what it takes to win it all. Solid year for Hopwood, and he makes a huge jump as a result.
