We got away from it for about a week, but we want to finish up the 2027 rankings content, as that is a loaded class. The 2027 rankings got a shake-up this cycle as we added several names who earned their way on the list after proving themselves on the summer and fall circuit. These players showed consistency, growth, and flashes that demanded attention, and we paid attention as a result. Here are a few newcomers who made the leap and now belong in the conversation as serious underclassmen to watch.

Svoboda made his debut in the rankings after bursting onto the scene this summer with his effort and activity. He impressed at the Expo, but we also saw him at a few in-state tournaments as well, and what stood out was the way that he dominated the glass and turned rebounds into quick outlets to start the break. He runs the floor, knocks down open jumpers, and competes defensively with positioning and toughness. His motor and feel make him an intriguing player that we feel could make an impact for his team this season. He's a player that we feel earned himself a spot with his consistency over the summer, and now we're excited to see if that translates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382298' first='Carter' last=''] earns his first appearance in the rankings after shining at our showcase, and what stands out is his maturity and versatility. He gives you a bit of everything as he has good size, rebounds well, shoots the three with confidence, and consistently plays the right way. [player_tooltip player_id='2382298' first='Carter' last=''] moves without the ball, spaces the floor, and makes smart, simple plays. His poise and all-around skill set make him one of the more intriguing newcomers to the 2027 rankings and a player that I feel Broomfield will certainly utilize this upcoming season. I like his game and think he will jump onto the scene early on. I like that Broomfield team, and he's a reason why.

DeVan makes his rankings debut after showing consistent growth and energy this summer. He's an athletic forward with length and bounce. He finishes above the rim as a lob threat and runs hard in transition. He's physical inside, defends with effort, and rebounds with strength. DeVan plays through contact, protects the paint, and looks ready for a breakout season as one of the class's top risers. Going to be excited to watch that Overland squad and think his presence adds to it as they will need his size.

Fowler earned his way into the rankings with a strong showcase performance that showed exactly how he can help Falcon this season. He spaces the floor, stays shot-ready, and moves without the ball to find open looks. Fowler knocked down corner threes, slashed into gaps, and ran the floor with purpose. His energy, shooting, and movement makes him a plug-and-play scorer who belongs, and we hope to see that this upcoming season.

Tajuna makes his debut in the rankings after a solid summer. What we liked about him is his two-way versatility. He defends multiple positions, stays aggressive, and gives consistent effort every possession. Offensively, he attacks downhill, finishes in traffic, and creates opportunities for others. His motor, toughness, and defensive mindset give Rampart a dependable spark if he earns minutes this year but he's certainly a player who earned his place on this list with his summer.

Fujimoto jumps into the rankings after a strong summer, where he also got out to our showcase and proved his value as a connector that Palmer Ridge can use. With a team full of scoring options, he brings facilitation, spacing, and leadership. He sets screens, rotates the ball, and knocks down mid-range shots when left open. His selfless play and high-IQ approach make him the type of guard who makes his team better. We just have to see it in games, and we expect to.
