The wing’s skillset is coming together quickly, bringing a high motor and increased efficiency from distance. Capable of spacing the floor off the catch, he is quickly evolving into a knockdown shooter, drawing pressure once touching the ball. Effective attacking closeouts for finishes around the rim, he has a quick second jump when needed to quickly contribute putbacks. As well as an excellent athlete, he has already attempted and thrown down multiple lobs this season, bringing a skillset conducive to the next level. Defensively, he can swat away shot attempts around the rim, effectively handling opposing forwards and guards when necessary.

Trevor Thomas is a walking bucket, so good luck stopping him. Not only can Thomas put the ball in the hoop, but he’s all over the floor. Thomas moves quickly on defense and is always on the lookout to make plays.

Thomas showed flashes of self-creation scoring abilities at recent showcase events, both from distance or inside the arc. Capable spacing the floor off the catch, his high release point allows him to score above incoming contests with ease. As well as getting more willing to attack downhill off the catch, Thomas is working to take on a larger scoring load this season at Grandview. Defensively, the wing has had success for a while now, although his added strength has made him even more versatile against multiple positions.

Thomas has displayed value defending a wide variety of opponents, oftentimes bigger than him. Comfortable taking on the dirty work when necessary, the wiry strong wing will be an asset for Grandview, who looks to regroup with new leadership. After averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, a larger opportunity is set for Thomas this coming season. Another area to watch for will be his three point shooting, following a 37% season on small volume. He remains a capable vertical athlete, capable of throwing down dunks in transition.

Thomas brings a wiry and athletic mold along the wing, tasked with guarding up if necessary or switching onto perimeter scoring threats if needed as well. He brings a low usage, yet highly impactful need for this roster, depended on heavily for his versatility on that end.
