What did we think of the 2027s at the MBCA Showcase? We run through them today!

[player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'] of Maple Grove (6'4 Sf). We remain high on Ann because he can impact a game in so many ways and he does not have to be scoring the basketball to do it. His decision making and effort are a big factor in why Ann is so highly regarded and he has the physical potential to grow in all ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126126' first='Ray' last='Brau'] of Hibbing (6'7 Pf). There are some bigs that show up and try and show how they are skilled away from the cup and there are bigs that bring their lunch pail and Hibbing is the second one. He had some excellent low post scores including a couple beautiful spin moves on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874863' first='Izayah' last='Cook'] of Sauk Rapids (6'4 Sf). Physically Cook is among the more advanced in his class physically and he can produce just off of that. He has great potential but just needs to learn how to play and when that comes to his game the sky is the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126118' first='Tyler' last='Forrest'] of Chaska (6'1 Pg). I thought Tyler had some of the best outlet passes of any player I saw at the camp. With so many players that wanted to turn and run, Tyler did a great job of a quick. Also, such a crafty player with outstanding ball handling skills that keeps the defender guessing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'] of Totino-Grace (5'11 Pg). Hill seems to be the most advanced lead guard in this class right now in all ways. His game understanding/decision making combined with solid burst, good touch, and aggressive attack give him the right combination to be the top ball handler.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126446' first='Mustafa' last='Mohamed'] of South St. Paul (6'9 Big). When it comes to potential it's tough to match this young man. Mustafa moves very well at his size getting off his feet, getting up the floor, moving lateral and everything in between. His size and length in an agile body is what colleges are looking for. As he gets more skilled and continues to grow, he likely has the highest ceiling in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] of Mahtomedi (6'6 Pf). Willie really helped the Zephyrs turn their season around scoring nine a game this winter playing with older players. This weekend we saw Willie catch and score in various ways from the block to the extended mid-range plus score active buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126094' first='Ty' last='Schlagel'] of Cretin-Derham Hall (6'7 forward). Schlagel is a combo forward with a great all around scoring approach that continues to expand. You have to defend him with somebody that can move their feet and that has size, and there are not many of those players around.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126447' first='Briggs' last='Sheridan'] of Farmington (6'8 Big). This is another player that I think could have a high ceiling. He is all of 6'8, has a good touch and his skills with back to the basket are something that I really liked. His pivot/spin/shoulder turn into a balanced touched and finish of various types (face-up jumper, turn towards the rim for a lay-in, one hander over the top) is something I really like.

Kwatamah Silikpoh of Champlin Park (6'10 Pg). The ball pressuring, attacking, quick to the open space approach of Silikpoh reminds many of a shorter version of former Rebel Mr. Basketball, McKinley Wright. This isn't to say that Kwatamah will be that level of player, but he is a very good player that competes in a similar way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126113' first='AJ' last='Taban'] of Stillwater (6'5 Big). Taban might be the strongest and toughest to move player in this group. He does not have the same low post size as others but he does set a great screen and use his strength to finish/board at a higher rate than some of the taller developing players in the grade.

[player_tooltip player_id='2052332' first='Trey' last='Theis'] of Prior Lake (6'7 Pf). The understanding and skill that Trey has is very enticing. I love the way he plays within the system and he is going to continue to grow and get more skilled. This is another player that I believe has a really high ceiling in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126108' first='Jack' last='Thelen'] of STMA (6'11 Big). Thelen is the biggest player in this group and the toughest to move around the basket. When he actually got to the block and got a touch I liked the results, I just felt that he didn't get to the block quite as much as needed. Great size in low post position and he walked up very well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean'] of DeLaSalle (6'2 Sg). It's what we have all known,Jaeden can be a game changing shooter. When he's on the range, touch, and ability to hit four in a row is there. Now he has to learn how to impact games in other ways when that shot is off. But he is off to a great start in his career with his level of touch.
