Continue ReadingSims is a competitor every possession, staying active vying for rebounds on either end. They work hard on or off-ball, actively getting into scoring positions off of cuts. Most effective at receiving the ball with momentum, Sims is a wiry downhill scorer who can leverage his strength and craft to create space for jumpers on such drives. Behind the arc, the guards remain a threat off the catch, repeatedly showcasing value throughout spring events.
A strong guard while attacking the rim, Bollers is a physically imposing backcourt playmaker. He’s a bully while getting downhill, more than capable of overpowering opposing backcourt defenders. Defensively, he can guard up when necessary, strong taking bumps in the post.
Gonzalez is a high motor playmaker who looks to push the pace whenever possible. Excellent getting into pull-up jumpers from anywhere on the floor, the guard is not fazed by immediate contests. While off-ball, the guard hunts for rebounds whenever available, actively maximizing his opportunities. Defensively, he has been aggressive in help, quick to poke the ball away from a stationary opponent.
Highlights
Brewton is a refined shotmaker off the dribble, capable of stepping into quick pull-up jumpers through contests. Effective readjusting for shot attempts on the move, the lead guard has great awareness off the bounce, always a threat for floaters. With Vice, Brewton has succeeded in another role as a primary playmaker, similar to Prairie View. Operating with multiple bigs, the guard has done well manipulating ball screens for greater space on such attempts or playmaking opportunities.
Flowers remains a strong guard with good size in the backcourt, continuing to become more refined while handling the ball, the guard has carved out dependable roles across high school and club basketball. Remaining a sturdy scorer around the rim, opponents will have to foul hard to keep Flowers from getting a chance at the rim. Defensively, Flowers holds his own versus opposing 1s and 2s, maintaining his strength for opposing drivers.
Highlights
Schminke is a highly active guard, consistently crashing the glass for loose balls on either end of the floor. Not afraid of being physical in scrums or loose balls, the guard adds an edge to Severance and Team Daum. They typically look to make plays within the offensive flow, picking apart weak closeouts.
Highlights
Berry continues to hit timely shots through spring tournaments locally, constantly a threat off the catch. Shot ready beyond the arc, the guard looks to make the defense pay for lackluster rotations.
Highlights
Oden remains one of the better perimeter shooters in the Southern Front Range, very confident off the catch. Willing to pull attempts through incoming closeouts, the guard has no trouble getting to attempts in tight spaces. Given all the gravity he attracts, the guard is continuing to improve as a decisionmaker while under pressure.
