Laverty was a high energy guard that was able to create opportunities throughout the tournament and was constantly getting some good looks on the offensive end. He was able to score on all three levels and was a knockdown shooter from behind the arc. When he was playing aggressive and getting the ball into the paint he was drawing contact and getting to the charity stripe where he was almost automatic. He showed some great vision at times, finding his teammates for scoring opportunities.

Laverty is a player that showed good vision throughout the day, finding the open player on cuts and being able to drive and kick to create as well. He showed the ability to step out behind the arc and was shooting lights out when the defense left him open. His ability to knock down the outside shot, helped him get into the paint where he was drawing contact and getting to the charity stripe, converting at a high rate.
