Schminke’s constant motor allows him to play bigger than one would expect from the 6’2 guard. A constant threat on the glass from either end of the floor, he is never content, always a threat for second chance opportunities. A strong, yet laterally quick backcourt matchup, the guard is among the better point of attack defenders in that section of the state. Still developing his all around perimeter game, the guard is a jack of all trades scorer, working on the margins to convert those extra opportunities.

His ability as both a utility guy and fearless scorer in the paint has allowed him to carve a niche, yet impactful role for both of those programs. Schminke was a high energy guard that was active on the offensive end, constantly moving and finding himself in the right place because of it. He was showing some good hustle by keeping some plays alive, keeping the ball from going out of bounds and helping crash the boards. He was able to create some shots for himself and was able to knock some shots down. At times was able to use his vision to find an open teammate.
