Reidsville High reigns supreme in the Devonte Graham Bracket
Reidsville High showed they were virtually unstoppable with their trio of Kendre Harrison Kendre Harrison 6'8" | C Reidsville | 2026 State NC , Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC and Johnniyus Sharpe Johnniyus Sharpe 6'2" | CG Reidsville | 2025 State NC as they went 3-0 and defeated Northwood High 69-53 to take home the Devonte Graham Bracket title in the John Wall Holiday Invitational. There were fireworks around every corner for the Rams as they took down Farmville Central 76-66 and Cannon School 73-71. Neal used a strip and score in the final seconds to boost the Rams to victory over Cannon School in the semifinals on Friday. Harrison took home the bracket’s MVP award as he produced 18.0 PPG, 13.3 RPG, 1.3 BPG and 1.7 APG on 66.7 percent shooting from the field. Neal finished with 19.3 PPG, 4.0 APG, 3.3 RPG and 2.3 SPG on 45 percent shooting from the field. Sharpe finished with 20.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 1.7 APG and 1.0 SPG in a breakout performance for his squad. They’re going to be a tough squad to beat once again as they look to make another run this season at a state title.
Myers Park High takes the Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket title
Myers Park High was another squad that put on for the NCHSAA as they took down NCISAA top squad Christ School in the Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket championship 50-45 to take home the title in the John Wall Holiday Invitational. The Mustangs are looking to continue their dominance in their NCHSAA 4A ranks following their first state title victory in 2022-23. Sadiq White Jr Sadiq White Jr 6'8" | SF Myers Park | 2025 State #56 Nation NC took home MVP honors in the bracket as he produced 17.3 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 2.3 APG and 1.3 SPG on 79.3 percent shooting from the field. He continues to show his development and aggression in the painted area as a top name to know in North Carolina’s 2025. They’re a tough cast to go up against led by White, Bishop Boswell Bishop Boswell 6'4" | PG Myers Park | 2024 State #68 Nation NC and Sir Mohammed Sir Mohammed 6'6" | SG Myers Park | 2024 State #83 Nation NC . They’ve got some key role players to keep eyes on in the fold as well. Ashton King Ashton King 6'4" | CG Myers Park | 2025 State NC and Jacob Paraison Jacob Paraison 6'4" | CG Myers Park | 2024 State NC re names who continue to contribute in positive ways to the team’s overall success. King averaged 11.3 PPG, 2.7 APG, and 2.0 RPG while Paraison finished with 7.3 PPG and 3.7 RPG while showing he could knock down big shots.
Chance Gladden Chance Gladden 6'4" | CG Ravenscroft | 2025 State NC explodes on the scoring front
Ravenscroft 2025 guard Chance Gladden Chance Gladden 6'4" | CG Ravenscroft | 2025 State NC put his best foot forward in the John Wall Holiday Invitational as he set a new single-game scoring mark in the Coby White Bracket 3rd Place Game. Gladden set the nets on fire with a 57-point outing, showing off his ability to score in a variety of ways in route to the Ravens’ 88-84 overtime victory over Southern Durham High. He sets a mark that hasn’t been broken since Mike Miller set his mark at 53 back in 1996. His history-breaking performance shouldn’t go unnoticed as he continues to pace his squad in the NCISAA ranks with a current record of 7-7. He’s a talented guard prospect who can fill it up in a hurry and is worth tracking by DI and DII programs in the surrounding areas.
