Wednesday Night Games To Watch

Prep Hoops Florida will be providing an in-depth look at the top matchups to watch each night during the season. Here are five games from across the Sunshine State to keep note of on this Wednesday evening:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sagemont at Calvary Christian Academy- 7:30pm</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The South Florida Area Game of the Night takes us to a battle between the Sagemont Lions (4-1) and the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles (4-0). The Lions are led by 6-4 senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2197299' first='Jordyn' last='Kee'] and 6-7 sophomore wing [player_tooltip player_id='2134660' first='Kevin' last='Thomas'] who have the potential to be a big-time duo as the season rolls on. On the other side, The Calvary Christian Academy Eagles are led by 6-8 junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1301718' first='Shon' last='Abaev'] and 5-11 freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194891' first='Cayden' last='Daughtry'] who has the chance to be the top ranked player in this year's freshman class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tampa Catholic at Oak Ridge- 7:30pm</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Tampa Catholic Crusaders (3-2) are coming off an impressive 81-49 win over Clearwater Calvary Christian in their previous game. Keep an eye on 6-0 junior guards [player_tooltip player_id='1301730' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell-Finch'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1204061' first='Colby' last='Cannizzaro'] in this one. For the Oak Ridge Pioneers (1-2) they are coming off a gut-wrenching 80-78 loss to Westminster Academy in their previous game. The Pioneers have talent across all five positions including 6-0 junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1301787' first='Jalen' last='Reece'], 6-6 junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1301713' first='Jamier' last='Jones'] and 6-5 senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1055776' first='Tyler' last='Johnson']. Also keep an eye on 6-2 senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1055709' first='Zion' last='Mitchell'] who continues to showcase his athleticism around the rim as well as knock down shots from the perimeter. For the Apopka Blue Darters (3-2) watch for 6-4 junior combo guard Jude Angervil who is a natural three-level scorer.
