The 6-2 rising senior guard transferred from Master’s Academy to Edgewater during the summer. Mitchell can play both guard positions at a high level displaying a ton of confidence in his game. Mitchell makes good decisions when he has the basketball in his hands whether it’s scoring off the bounce or setting his teammate up to get an assist. Mitchell has a knack where he can catch fire when he is shooting from beyond the arc as well as scoring on the attack. On the defensive end, he can play a versatile role where he uses his length to contest his opposition and is a havoc in mismatch opportunities.

The 6-1 combo guard is an excellent decision maker when he is out on the floor. The last couple of weeks for Mitchell were really great and began shooting the three ball with confidence. His defensive ability whether it was guarding on the ball or off the ball excelled during the Live Period and can guard multiple positions. His pure-pass first skills were at a high level last weekend in Wichita.

The 6-1 guard is a pure-pass first guard who can also impact the game with his scoring as well. Mitchell is a left-handed shooter who can score at all three levels whether it’s around the rim, mid-range or from beyond the arc. This past season for The Master’s Academy, Mitchell averaged 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Mitchell holds offers currently from High Point and Presbyterian College but expect more college coaches to be on his radar during the live period.

A crafty point guard, Mitchell scored his 17 points in a variety of ways; using a quick first step to explode and attack the rack, or his tight handle that he keeps on a string to get his defender off balance. But when the opposition lays off the junior can really shoot it from long range.
