Already a dependable option for Rangeview, the guard has played a pivotal role in their preseason success. Already an excellent playmaker with the ball, the guard does a great job getting deep into the paint for creative finishes. Effective getting to his floater deep in the paint, the freshman is not fazed by an incoming contest. Another area of value has been his willingness to score against contests, capable readjusting mid-air on finishes for and-1 finishes. Beyond the arc, Weatherspoon already holds plenty of gravity, dependable on attempts off the catch. His role on the defensive end will be intriguing, given his high level anticipation out on the perimeter. His offensive upside is up there with anybody in the class.
Highlights
Wanrow is an impressive forward, especially effective while attacking the rim with momentum. Although capable of being a powerful finisher at the basket, the freshman forward’s soft touch off of pivots or spin moves cannot go overlooked. His high level timing and decisionmaking while on the attack was impressive at various showcase events this summer, displaying a high feel for the game. His continued growth as a perimeter scorer will be intriguing, already showing plenty of value iside the arc. Defensively, Wanrow has no qualms about getting up to block shots versus guards or likesize opponents. The forward will be an above the rim athlete throughout his quickly budding career.
Highlights
David has already gained plenty of opportunities throughout the preseason with Rock Canyon, who is among those at the forefront of the 6A title race. The tall guard already shows a high feel for the game, making the right reads for the next play. Active getting outlet passes out for transition scorers, David is quick to push the pace following defensive rebounds. Once in the halfcourt, the guard utilizes a dependable floater in traffic, seemingly always under control. Another area of intrigue has been the guard’s notably quick jumper off the catch, already effective off the catch. His impact with Rock Canyon’s high octane perimeter focused offense will be very intriguing, especially given his productive role through limited sample.
Highlights
Dotson is a strong guard who possesses a notably consistent jump shot. Capable out muscling opponents through a bump, the guard is capable of rising up quick pull-ups in tight space. Effective off the catch from beyond the arc, Dotson already possesses a well rounded perimeter game, effective under many circumstances. His defensive impact will be a swing factor, given his strength and wide reach for his position.
