stole the show on the first day of the event. He came into the camp with a buzz after he had picked up some Division I offers to start the Spring. The 3-point shot was on and in the game of the weekend, a close win against Creek; he had some tough iso baskets. He had step-backs, deep 3’s, and a ton of iso work. He was attacking off the dribble into his shot, and they shuffled through a couple of guys to try to slow him down. He then had some solid games after that, where he showed that he could score with the best of them. The next step in his game is consistently playing with that chip. I feel as if he goes into certain games or moments ready to prove a point, proves it, and then relaxes. If we got that killer mentality and wanting to show who the top guy is in the gym each night out, he could contend as the top player in the state. Nonetheless, his high’s at Metro State camp was head and shoulders above everyone else’s, and I feel that he was one of MVP’s of the event.

came into the season with a chip on his shoulder and had plenty to prove about where he belongs in the state rankings. He’s a player who leaves it all on the floor; he plays with passion and fire and was able to lead Rock Canyon to a state championship. The 6’5 combo guard put on a show at the Coliseum and was named to the 1st Team All-State after putting up 18.3 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. When the stakes are the highest, he’s stepped up to the plate and is an intriguing prospect with such a high ceiling that we’re curious to see what it looks like this summer and beyond. He remains in the Top-5, maybe as a riser.

has been a catalyst for the Jaguars all season long, creating space with ease while maintaining confidence in himself, no matter what the scoreboard says. David’s poise at the top of the perimeter to the paint distinguishes his versatility and transcends his stardom. In only his junior season, David has come away averaging 18.9 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.3 APG, and 1.1 BPG. These numbers will only skyrocket from here as he’ll have a full offseason coming off peak confidence with a state title under his belt. The second-ranked guard in his class will be gunning for the ultimate back-to-back in his senior year.

prevailed big time in a neck-and-neck contest Friday night against Regis Jesuit, where his Jaguars came away on top. David controlled the momentum with a confident 22 points, shooting an impressive 80% from the field and 67% from three. Paired with a double-double performance from Kai Valentine – 16 points and 10 rebounds, Rock Canyon was driven from the get-go. The #5 team in the state is on a roll, with no signs of slowing down.

etched his name all over this game, contributing a crucial 24 points on a scorching 60% from the field. Where David differentiates himself is his insane shot-creating ability, nailing fully contested fadeaway looks with confidence and ease. Being a consistently reliable starter for Rock Canyon, David has taken the Jags to full throttle and a dominating 16-3 record. Not only was his scoring prolific, but his 5 rebounds and 4 assists proved to be huge in the late stretch. Expect more electrifying performances from David in the near future.

David is well on his way to passing the 1,000 points mark in a few games, and I hope that it is at home so that those Canyon Crazies can have a moment with their leading scorer. He had a breakout sophomore season and is putting up around the same number; the only thing is, now they’re leading to wins. He’s found a way to lead the team in not only scoring at 18.1 points a game, but he’s also their vocal leader, and his play is contagious. He plays the right way, is aggressive, but lets the game come to him, and is a 3-level scorer. He’s found ways to use his length to his advantage on iso finishes, he’s starting to hunt mismatches and make defenses pay, and still has those athletic finishes that bring energy to his squad. I expect him to break the 1,000 point mark in the middle of league play, but after that, his sights are on something bigger.

is the centerpiece who has kept Rock Canyon on top of the leaderboard. David is a versatile 6’6 guard who is fearless in scoring the ball. Able to blow by anybody who’s guarding him, David has mastered his quick first step and converts from all three levels of the floor; tacking on a thunderous 19.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 2.1 APG all while minimizing turnovers as often as possible

Jacob is a bucket. He’s a true go-to scorer who put up 18.6 points a game as a sophomore, and he finds ways to manipulate the defense. Jacob has good size for a guard at 6’5, and he’s a skilled, downhill attacker. He uses his size for smaller defenders and blows by bigger defenders. He excels in iso situations but is also turning into more of a willing passer who can move without the ball and score. Rock Canyon is my darkhorse team to win state this year, and Jacob is a big reason for that. I expect for him to be a consistent scorer and presence that the Jaguars lean on. He will have to be even better this season for them to make a push, and I am expecting that. He comes in as the No. 6 player in the conference.

is one of the best in his class, and for good reason. Controlling the pace of the game and making the right decisions are just a couple of assets that made David stand out during day 2. David can swing the rock when needed while scoring relentlessly across all 3 levels. With a high ceiling coming this fall, David has established himself as a star in the box state.

David’s weekend was a testament to hard work and consistency, as he delivered strong performances on both ends of the court. He controlled the tempo of each game, showing poise as a playmaker—whether creating his own shot or finding open teammates when the defense collapsed on him. Defensively, he was relentless, applying constant pressure and making it tough for opponents to get clean looks. His standout moment came in a dominant 30 point outing, where he couldn’t miss, knocking down jumpers with ease and showcasing his complete offensive game
