put on a show to end his junior year off on the strongest note. Contributing 23 points on 9/15 (60%) from the field alongside 8 rebounds, Hudgins attacks the paint while earning his team crucial second-chance opportunities. Despite the heartbreaking loss, the 6’3 junior has had a monstrous season, facilitating the Titans’ offense with confidence and poise. On the defensive end, especially, Hudgins prioritizes rebounding and crashing the glass with purpose. With a season full of exponential growth, expect Hudgins to use this loss as fuel to come back even harder in his senior year.

Hudgins has been the steady presence Legend can rely on every night, playing a huge role in keeping them competitive at 8–7. Averaging 17.3 points and 3.3 rebounds, he’s been remarkably consistent, scoring in double figures in every game this season. His 6’5″ frame is a major advantage for a guard, giving him the size and length to create problems on both ends of the floor. Offensively he’s quick with a tight handle, able to get downhill and comfortably reach his spots. That same length shows up defensively, where he closes gaps, contests shots and forces tough looks. His all around reliability and two way impact make him a pillar for Legend

Hudgins steps into the role as Legend’s top option, and the responsibility now falls on him to be aggressive every night. That’s what will be needed for them to compete. He fills the box score with his size, length, rebounding, and playmaking ability, but the next step is hunting shots and imposing himself as a scorer. The skill set is already there. The confidence and assertiveness will determine how far he climbs in the conference pecking order this season, and we’re ready to see how he responds.

Hudgins is currently the No.22 class and has a chance to rise with a big showing at the event. Loved what I saw from him this summer. He has the size and skill to match as a big guard that the game comes easier for. He does a bit of everything with smart reads and passes, sees the floor well, and is never sped up. He is in a unique spot and needs team success so a jump start at our event will help.

Hudgins was one of the most unique guards on the weekend due to his size. At 6’4, he has a slower yet methodical approach to running the offense, but he was never sped up. He dominated as the lead guard for Legend and will be their best player this year. He did a bit of everything. He finished inside, stepped out, and hit shots, and also used deception to find the right player. He was scoring with ease and was near a double-double in every game that he played. He’s a high-IQ guard with upside, and his ability to do that with his size had him as one of my favorite watches on the weekend. It was a stock-boosting weekend for him as he proved that he belongs.

Hudgins has plenty of upside as a taller shotmaker who can make difficult shots around the rim and stretching out to behind the arc. Comfortable stepping into pull-up jumpers, his fairly high release point allows the guard advantages as a high usage scorer over the coming years. He looks primed for even more opportunity, producing incredible efficiency on a relatively small sample at this stage.

Hudgins will be a contributor at Legend, bringing soft touch and scoring confidence from all three levels. Capable stepping into jumpers from distance, he has no trouble scoring above opponent contests. Contributing shots in the paint and drawing fouls on off-balance attempts, as he gains more confidence in that offensive system he will be a steady contributor in due time.

Hudgins has a good frame to compete on the defensive end versus both backcourt opponents, active in altering passes or shot attempts across the floor. A willing driver, the guard brings good size to shoot over contests as well as draw fouls around the basket. Not just a downhill threat, Hudgins has shown the ability to space the floor, effective from corners and wings. Following repeated success throughout the summer, the guard looks to reaffirm his abilities at the varsity level with Legend.
