It feels like we don’t get to see much of Justin at all, but when he plays, he’s good. This week at PHTuneUpCO, he played with precision. He’s decisive with the ball and makes the right reads, he plays within the flow of the offense, and when the offense gets stagnant, he’s who alters things and makes plays happen. I like that he makes the extra pass, as that is not something that you see too often in these setting and it becomes contagious. It keeps the defense guessing. He was getting inside the defense, handling the ball in transition, and finishing. He’s a player who I feel will have a big season for Legend as he’s multi-dimensional and just different than what they have. Another solid outing for him.
Lewis earned his debut spot in the rankings after standing out defensively this summer. He’s a long, athletic, and instinctive player who can impact the game with his defensive work. He disrupts plays, jumps into passing lanes for steals, and turns defense into offense. His quickness and strength allow him to guard multiple positions and impact winning and that will be asked of him this season. Offensively, he thrives in transition and knocks down mid-range shots. With continued defensive focus, Lewis could become an invaluable two-way piece for East and easily makes his debut on the rankings.
Lewis was a pest on defense during the showcase and that kind of play seperates you in a showcase. His instincts and ability to play the passing lanes set the tone. He rebounded effectively, pushed the break, and used his size and strength as a slasher. Offensively, he played a balanced game, but his defensive chops stood out most. His versatility was on full display at the event as a player to keep an eye on.
Lewis brings length, upside, and mobility, with the ability to run the floor and anchor the interior defensively. At the showcase, we’ll be looking for him to use that size and athleticism to control the paint. Want to see him protecting the rim, finishing strong, and showing how his motor translates in transition. Lastly with his strong defensive presence, consistent rebounding and efficient offense he’ll leave a strong impression
