Nearly 250 teams across three age groups from all over the Midwest and beyond descended on the north side of Indianapolis to compete for a championship. Ultimately, we crowded Indiana Game Elite, Ohio United-McClure, and Kyle Guy Elite Black as our Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region champions in the 15u, 16u, and 17u brackets respectively. Now, it is time to start releasing our All-Tournament Teams. Earlier we announced our 15u All-Tournament Teams and now we have the 16u teams ready. Let’s dive on in.
First Team
Josiah Bowen-Pride
Josiah Bowen-Pride
In terms of physical tools, this prospect out of Oberlin High School in Ohio has everything you could as for. Bowen-Pride is strong, athletic, and has good size at 6’3″-6’4″ on the perimeter. He was consistently punishing defenders off of the dribble by attacking closeouts and living in transition as Mac Boys Basketball 2025 reached the Final Four of the 16u Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals.
Edwards capped off Indiana Ambition 2025’s Final Four victory over Mac Boys Basketball 2025 while an impressive windmill dunk, but it was the 20 points he scored in the game that really solidified his spot on the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals First Team. The 6’7″ athlete is a really versatile presence on the offensive end of the floor and an intriguing long-term prospect.
In the championship game on Sunday this 6’5″ talented guard started off hot knocking in his first four three-point attempts in the opening minutes. McClure would go on to score a team-leading 20 points as Ohio United-McClure 2025 took home the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 16u title. His combination of size, athleticism, and skill makes him one of the better prospects at the event.
Highlights
Despite ending the weekend in unfortunate fashion, Sims proved himself as one of the most talented scorers at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals while helping lead a loaded Team Teague Felder 2025 squad to the Final Four. He is explosive in short bursts, elevates well on his jump shot, and plays through contact with his size and strength.
Theado scored 16 points in the championship game as Ohio United-McClure 2025 won the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 16u title. The 6’5″ wing routinely got to the basket off of the dribble where his size allowed him to dominate smaller defenders. He is so strong yet also skilled with the ball. His presence as a matchup nightmare was crucial for Ohio United winning it all.
