Six Prospects to Watch at the Freshman Showcase – Part Three

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are less than a month away from the annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. This is always the best event that we put on every year and is a very valuable resource for both our scouting staff and the players who attend. Class of 2030 prospects from around the state ensure that they are on the radar heading into their respective freshman seasons. Meanwhile, we get to build our database with over 100 names early on in the process and evaluate many of the top incoming freshmen under one roof. The 6'1" guard is a smooth operator off of the dribbling showcasing the ability to slice his way to the basket and finish at the end of his drives. His positional size and athleticism make him a tough matchup for opposing defenders. The 5'10" guard will attend Evansville Memorial. He is a very good three-point shooter, but also has shown the ability to attack the paint off of the bounce. We are excited to get a more thorough evaluation of Glisson at our upcoming Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Hawkins has excellent athletic and physical tools and is coming off of a strong summer with Hoop Club 14u. There is a lot of upside and long-term projection to be excited about when evaluating Hawkins. The 6'2" forward is at his best on the block where he possesses good footwork and a soft finishing touch. He was productive with Region Force 14u throughout the summer and will be one to watch down the road for Andrean High School. He was very good this summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'] 14u and got some minutes with the Pirates at the varsity level in June. Walton III is a very good three-point shooter and is smooth in the open floor with the ball in his hands. He can space the floor when playing away from the ball as a shooting threat, but also has the ball skill to serve as a secondary playmaker within the offense. Yoder is one to follow in the coming years at Leo.
