One of the more intriguing prospects in Southwest Indiana for the class of 2030, Evansville Memorial 6’3” Wing JJ Hawkins JJ Hawkins 6'3" | SF/SG Evansville Memorial | 2030 IN was excellent in the 3v3 portion of the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Camp with his length and athleticism. Showed that he’s still a bit raw in the 5v5, but plays incredibly hard on both ends. Versatile defender that plays with active hands, rebounds it well, and runs the floor. Showed the ability to push in transition and make good decisions on the break.

One of the most intriguing prospects at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase in terms of raw athleticism and physical tools was this 6’3″ wing from Evansville Memorial High School. We had a lot of young talent in the gym from the Pocket City area. Hawkins stood out as a right hand driver, slasher, and consistent crasher on the offensive glass. He understands how to use his athleticism and length to his advantage on both ends of the floor. There is a lot of upside to work with and Hawkins already possesses some of the raw tools necessary to be a player at the next level. We look forward to tracking him over the coming years down at Evansville Memorial.

Yet another talented incoming freshman in the Evansville area, this 6’3″ wing will attend Memorial High School. Hawkins has excellent athletic and physical tools and is coming off of a strong summer with Hoop Club 14u. There is a lot of upside and long-term projection to be excited about when evaluating Hawkins. We are excited to have him at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
