Technically there were a couple of games played on Sunday night, but for all intents and purposes the annual Peach Jam got underway on Monday in North Augusta, South Carolina. Now, we are through the second full day of action on Tuesday. The Riverview Activities Center is a beautiful venue for this great event and there was a good amount of fanfare that came through the gates to check in on the action Monday. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground throughout the day, just as we did yesterday and will again tomorrow, watching Indy Heat 15u & 17u along with some of the other top prospects across the country. Let's dive on in and comb through five primary takeaways from the day spent in the gym at Peach Jam.

Team Final Asserts Their Dominance

If you have followed the EYBL scene closely you would know that Team Final was at the top of the 17u standings after four "regular season" sessions. They have certainly lived up to their lofty reputation so far in North Augusta as well. On Tuesday night they went against NH Lightning and walked away with a convincing 83-63 victory. Team Final is now 2-0 at the Peach Jam heading into Wednesday afternoon's matchup with Team CP3.

Five-star guard [player_tooltip player_id='1189096' first='Jalil' last='Bethea'] was absolutely excellent on Tuesday evening finishing with 31 points on impressive 11-17, 5-8, 4-4 shooting splits. Baylor commit Rob Wright added 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting 9-17, 5-8, 3-4 from the field. Those two are guards are quite simply as good as anyone else in the Class of 2024. Four-star point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1281786' first='Ahmad' last='Nowell'] continued to run the show for Team Final finishing with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Auburn commit [player_tooltip player_id='1050389' first='Tahaad' last='Pettiford'] scored 16 points in the loss for NH Lightning.

Nightrydas Elite 16u, Boozer Twins Meet All Expectations

Due to his USA Basketball commitments, I did not get a chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='1301714' first='Cameron' last='Boozer'] when I covered EYBL Session 4 in Memphis. So, I was excited to get a chance to finally get eyes on him this week at the Peach Jam. It can be hard for not just the #1 prospect in the Class of 2025, but largely considered the #1 player in all of high school basketball, to live up to the expectations. However, Boozer did that on Tuesday afternoon. That is made even more impressive when you considered he was just his team's fourth-leading scorer.

The Nightrydas Elite 16u squad took care of business against Mac Irvin Fire 16u in dominant 89-65 fashion. It was athletic four-star guard Alex Lloyd who led the way offensively scoring 22 points on incredibly efficient 8-10, 3-4, 3-3 shooting splits. Phyiscal guard [player_tooltip player_id='1301788' first='Dante' last='Allen'] added 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in what was a very impressive performance.

As for the Boozer twins, it was [player_tooltip player_id='1301715' first='Cayden' last='Boozer'] who scored it more finishing with 17 points, but Cameron did a little bit of everything to prove that he is truly the best high school prospect in the country. The 6'9" forward is incredible physical while still possessing a very high skill level as well. He would go on to finish with 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Indy Heat 15u Runs Into a Buzzsaw

The Indy Heat 15u squad qualified for the Peach Jam after a strong regular season. They feature a loaded roster with four of the Top 10 Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 prospects plus a couple of other highly regarded guys from surrounding states. However, they were absolutely no match for MoKan Elite 15u on Tuesday morning. Aside from a late first half run that briefly cut it to nine points, there just wasn't a whole lot of life in this one as Indy Heat simply ran into a better team. I wrote yesterday how Team CP3 15u had overtaken Brad Beal Elite 15u as the best team I'd seen at the age level. Well, I think it is time to already pass the torch again to MoKan Elite 15u.

Mavrick Hawkins led MoKan with 18 points including 4-8 shooting from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, [player_tooltip player_id='1552319' first='Jalen' last='Montonati'] added 16 points and Tristen Reed added another 15 in their blowout 85-57 victory. For Indy Heat, 6'6" forward [player_tooltip player_id='1729136' first='Brennan' last='Miller'] (Lawrence North H.S. 2026) was a bright spot finishing with 14 points and 6 rebounds. He had an excellent stretch in the second half that included some strong drives from the elbow and an athletic tip-in at the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='1534261' first='Justin' last='Curry II'] (Noblesville H.S. 2026) added 13 points in the loss.

Indy Heat 17u Drops Another Close One

Despite getting Purdue commit [player_tooltip player_id='1275779' first='Kanon' last='Catchings'] (Brownsburg H.S. 2024) back in the lineup, Indy Heat 17u was still stuck with just six guys after an unfortunate injury in the late game on Monday night to Dwayne Williams. The lack of depth paid a toll once again as there just wasn't enough gas left in the tank down the stretch to complete a comeback against Kingdom Hoops. Indy Heat fell to 0-3 on the week with a 66-61 defeat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297118' first='Trent' last='Sisley'] (Heritage Hills H.S. 2025) produced at a high level in both games on Monday, but the 6'8" four-star forward turned in his best performance on Tuesday morning going for 20 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 8-10 from the floor. Unfortunately, the rest of his team combined to shoot just 17-49. [player_tooltip player_id='1275779' first='Kanon' last='Catchings'] scored 14 points in his return to the lineup while five-star guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297052' first='Jalen' last='Haralson'] (Fishers H.S. 2025) contributed 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists.

The Georgia Stars 17u got the day started with a 72-51 win over MoKan.
