Johnson is the #1 ranked prospect nationally in the Class of 2024 and certainly showed why with his play on Saturday in Memphis. The smooth 6’5″ guard scored 27 points in game one and 19 points in game two leading Houston Hoops to a 2-0 day with wins over The Skill Factory and Expressions. He plays with such great pace, has the size and length to elevate over the defense, and is a pure jump shooter. Johnson projects as an impactful scorer at the next level from the moment he steps onto a college campus.

has proven to be a major difference maker everywhere he plays and Houston Hoops EYBL is no different. Johnson was a key playmaker on the floor for his squad as they traveled to the first EYBL session last weekend. Tre always has a great sense of awareness for where his teammates are on the floor and is a willing distributor, always making sure his unselfishness is on display. Despite this, Johnson is able to score the ball almost at will whenever his team needs a bucket. He is quite effective off the dribble pull up jumper and also getting to the rim under coverage. Tre will continue to be a huge part of Houston Hoops for the forseeable future as they continue their play on the EYBL circuit.

, had everything going his way as usual while making some standout highlight plays. Johnson’s 16 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game propelled Houston Hoops to a 2-2 record through Session 1. This star shooting guard proved to be a pure and natural bucket getter whether he made the shot or missed it, Tre was always able to take a good look at the basket by getting to his spots for a pull-up jumper. Whenever Johnson attacked the lane with a full head of steam there was no stopping him, he springs off the ground with explosiveness and utilizes his hang-time to control his body in the air while finishing with finesse or throwing it down with power.

Walking bucket and highlight reel that checks every box as a 5-star shooting guard. There’s nothing on the court that Johnson can’t do, especially offensively, Tre is effectively unstoppable on and off the ball in the half court, open court, as well as transition and this talent shows consistently on a game to game basis from the tip to the buzzer.

is looking to become the first junior in history to ever win the Mr. Texas Basketball award and he has a very good chance of doing so. As a sophomore, he averaged 23.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and his numbers are expected to go up this season. Johnson is the top-ranked prospect in the nation on everyone’s chart for a reason, he flat-out dominates his opponent in the most remarkable ways imaginable, a true scoring wizard who’s seemingly unguardable, the type of player that can put up 20 points on a bad day. The highly touted athlete brings a lot to the table that leads to winning games and with a competitive supporting cast like he has Tre may be able to lead the Wildcats to a 6A State Championship this season.
