. is a highlight waiting to happen. He can score from anywhere on the floor and does it with ease, with the ability to take over a game at any moment. While he’s widely known for his offensive skill set, his defense has improved significantly and deserves recognition. As a guard, he impacts the paint with well-timed blocks and deflections.
Brandon is the type of player who will do whatever it takes to elevate his team. His leadership is evident in his ability to get teammates in the right positions and keep everyone composed. At a tournament in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, he showcased his clutch factor by knocking down a game-winning shot off the dribble as time expired. This past weekend Brandon received First Team honors at Recruit Look Denver Showcase.

was one of the most polished offensive players on display, consistently creating and converting quality scoring opportunities. He showed a strong understanding of how to get to his spots, using advanced footwork and body control to create space against defenders. His mid range pull up was especially effective, as he was able to rise up comfortably and knock down shots over contests. Mason Jr played with great pace, never rushing but always in control, which allowed him to read the defense and take what was available. Whether it was creating off the dribble or getting to his pull up game, he made scoring look effortless at times. His ability to generate offense at a high level made him one of the toughest covers of Day 1.

, the number one player in New Mexico, reminded everyone why he holds that title. With UNM coaches in the building, he scored at will and carried his team during key stretches. His ability to create off the dribble and produce whenever he wanted made him one of the most unstoppable players of the event.

Brandon Mason Jr. made some clever moves to the basket, and also shot right over the top of defenders. on Sunday. He has utilizes good footwork and timing to get his shots off. I also noticed that he is very efficient with his movements, which is likely why opponents have so much trouble guarding him.

Brandon is a real deal bucket getter! He does a phenomenal job of attacking the defense and finding his shot. He seems to always be comfortable with the ball. He does not allow the defense to speed him up and take him out of his rhythm. Brandon plays with plenty of confidence on the floor. No moment seems to be too bright for Brandon.

A tall guard who is effective on or off the ball, Mason plays a vital role for their 16U program despite only a 2027. A high level decision maker within the half court, the guard is careful surveying the floor for his next move. Oftentimes looking to pressure the rim for drives, his lanky frame and wide reach allows him to finish versus contests. Part of what makes him so dynamic at this stage has been shotmaking along the perimeter, constantly a threat off the catch regardless of the closeout. Should he gain momentum towards the paint, Mason is more than capable of rising up into pull-ups. Throughout the spring, another area worth noting has been his pick and roll passing, capable of landing various over the top passes deep in the paint. His upside and production has garnered him multiple offers, including Southern Utah, CSU Northridge, Little Rock, and Missouri Kansas City.

I was impressed with his advanced offensive skill. Not only does he uses some nice side and step backs, he’s one of the smoothest with them. Smooth is a good way to describe his overall game, in addition to his shooting, he also showed the ability to glide to the rim and finish.
