Johnson was a key playmaker on the floor for his squad as they traveled to the first EYBL session last weekend. Tre always has a great sense of awareness for where his teammates are on the floor and is a willing distributor, always making sure his unselfishness is on display. Despite this, Johnson is able to score the ball almost at will whenever his team needs a bucket. He is quite effective off the dribble pull up jumper and also getting to the rim under coverage. Tre will continue to be a huge part of Houston Hoops for the forseeable future as they continue their play on the EYBL circuit.
Highlights
Clarence has come up big in the month of April for his JL3 EYBL squad, proving that he can work magic on both ends of the floor. Payia is a versatile post athlete who is adept at driving to the basket and finishing, but he also possesses a game that can move out to the perimeter as his jumpshot has proven to be highly consistent from beyond the arc. Clarence has been continuing his momentum into grassroots season since Beaumont United concluded the regular season as the state championship runner up this year. Clarence is always a willing playmaker as well, never afraid to make the extra pass. One thing that really sticks out to me about Payia is his hustle for loose balls, he is always the first one on the floor securing possession and this is a factor that will make a major difference for him this summer.
Christian is a big time catalyst for Team Temple 17u this summer as he continues to make a difference, especially on the defensive end of the court. His lateral quickness is unmatched and he always has a sense of where his matchup is on the court at all times. On offense, Christian possesses a lethal jumper and his tenacity driving to the paint is next level, where he is often able to finish under the rim with the contact. Umana is also very vocal on defense and is a great leader in terms of speaking out and encouraging his teammates, even in the negative moments. Any coach at the next level would be happy to have someone as vocal and plays hard like Christian. Umana will look to continue this impressive level of play throughout the grassroots season.

Adrian Johnson
Adrian is a versatile post player that makes a huge difference whenever he is on the floor for Bayou City. Johnson possesses a light touch under the basket and a consistent jumper from behind the arc as well. Adrian is very vocal on defense as well and performed very well in his first tournament out of state up in Indiana against some high level competition. He will continue to improve shooting the ball and scoring with his back to the basket. He is also physical on the defensive end as well, able to hold his ground against larger opponents and box out consistently. College coaches, don’t wait to jump on Adrian Johnson’s potential!
