Jacob David Jacob David 6'4" | SG Rock Canyon | 2027 State CO – Rock Canyon – 2027
David will be an immediate productive backcourt scorer for Rock Canyon, who certainly has playoff aspirations this season. The guard is already a potent shooter off the catch, possessing one of the quicker releases in recent memory. Already standing right around 6’3, David has high upside as a shotmaker and down the line shot creator. Some of his off the dribble scoring came from on-ball screens, where he quickly turned the corner for off-balance floaters and pull-ups. Although a very small sample, based on his shotmaking profile, there is a chance David possesses one of the most potent floaters among any underclassmen in Colorado.
Preston Brunton Preston Brunton 6'6" | CG Mountain Range | 2026 State CO – Mountain Range – 2026
Brunton is a composed lead guard, capable of playing on or off the ball. His shooting ability is consistent under a variety of circumstances, planned or not. On a few occasions, a tip out occurred on the offensive end, coincidentally falling to Brunton, he was prepared to make a quick jumper. Proving to be a deadeye off the catch, the incoming sophomore guard was equally dangerous off the one or two-dribble pull-up jumper, proving quick. At roughly 6’3, he has all the requisite measurements to be a difference maker yet again this season, following a varsity tenure at Mountain Range through his freshman season. His role as a facilitator will be an intriguing balance, given his high upside as a shotmaker with the tall frame.
Christian Williams – Chaparral – 2027
Williams has continued to hold up to his loft expectations, proving incredibly poised and composed regardless of his young age. The incoming freshman is notably strong for his lead guard position, already capable of matching up defensively against both backcourt opponents. Williams is incredibly quick going fullcourt, once he has a head of steam there just are not many athletes with his raw speed. The guard also showcased off-ball shooting off the catch, a key area to his offensive versatility. There is no doubt Williams has more room for growth as a playmaker, clearly seeing the floor at an advanced level on the defensive end.
Archie Weatherspoon V Archie Weatherspoon V 6'0" | CG Rangeview | 2027 State CO – Rangeview – 2027
Weatherspoon contributed inside and outside, knocking down perimeter jump shots and finding ways to attack the paint with urgency. The guard has a quick first step that allows him the immediate advantage against many opponents. An ambidextrous finisher in traffic, Weatherspoon can elevate and get notable hangtime for finishes or passing opportunities. The guard will immediately step into Rangeview as a contributor, likely a high end rotation player from the jump.
Caiden Braketa Caiden Braketa 6'3" | CG Ralston Valley | 2026 State CO – Ralston Valley – 2026
Braketa continues to prove his scoring versatility, showing more aggression getting to the basket and creating plays. The 6’2 guard is a talented player, possessing one of the best jumpers in the state. He continues to seek out a greater volume of drives, where he is methodical as a facilitator, often getting to his pivot foot to find cutters or shooters.
