The 6-0 point guard plays under complete control and poise throughout the game by not letting the moment get to big. He is a persistent passer who plays the right way and is always making the unselfish play. He has a smooth shooting touch to his game and can also attack downhill against a mismatch. On the defensive end he is excellent when he is guarding on the ball and the ability to stay in front of his opposition.
Highlights
The 6-6 small forward has had a solid spring so far for Nightrydas Elite on both sides of the ball. Abdullahi is beginning to gain more confidence in his outside shot where he is shooting at nearly 35 percent from beyond the arc on the spring. He is at his absolute best when he is attacking the rim and finishing against multiple defenders. Abdullahi has both length and athleticism to handle a guard position.
The 6-6 wing is a true three-level scorer who always is there to make the right play. Taylor is a complete basketball player who can defend multiple positions whether he is blocking shots, getting defensive rebounds or getting steals. On the offensive end he can excel at absorbing contact and getting to the free throw line at times. Taylor also has really great ball-handling skills for his size and can beat you off the dribble.
The 6-2 point guard landed his first offer from Kennesaw State following the Live Period and can do it all on the offensive end of the floor. He is a high IQ point guard who is at his best when shooting from the perimeter. This spring he has shown a lot of consistency and finding the rhythm in his jump shot. Expect the offer list to keep growing as we go into summer and his senior season.
The 6-6 rising senior wing is a physical basketball player who uses his strength, athleticism and frame to an advantage on any given night. He is at his best when he is finishing around the rim and absorbing contact where he can get to the free throw line. On the defensive end he brings elusive quickness and is a solid rim protector for a wing.
The 6-6 guard has a winning mentality and will make all the right plays for his team to make sure it happens. Celiscar is a hustle player whether it’s diving on the floor for a loose ball or taking a charge with the game on the line. He is a true scorer who is at his absolute best when he is finishing around the rim or on the mid-range. He also excels in the classroom as he currently maintains a 4.2 grade point average.
The 6-9 power forward plays with a ton of size and versatility. Newell has started to gain confidence in an outside shot that he has been knocking down consistently this spring. He is a double-double machine who brings a winning impact every time he steps on the floor. Newell holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana and several others.
The 6-8 forward is athletic and versatile when he is out on the floor. Borio can score on all three levels whether it’s from the perimeter, mid-range or around the rim. Borio is also a high level defender whether it’s guarding a smaller opponent or in the post. Borio brings length and excels at blocking shots and limiting any second chance scoring opportunities.
The 6-1 combo guard is an excellent decision maker when he is out on the floor. The last couple of weeks for Mitchell were really great and began shooting the three ball with confidence. His defensive ability whether it was guarding on the ball or off the ball excelled during the Live Period and can guard multiple positions. His pure-pass first skills were at a high level last weekend in Wichita.
