Continue ReadingDom Martinez will be a name to remember for the next two years as his game is starting to come all together. He has a smooth offensive game, making him impossible to rattle throughout the game. At 6’0”, Maurice is a bigger guard which allows him to punish the smaller guards in the paint, while also being able to finish over the bigs. Though 4 games he was able to put up back-to-back solid games giving his team just enough offensely to put out wins.
Tremaine Manuel had himself a long couple of days having to play in 3 games in a 13-hour span ending with a record of 1-2 but surely continuing to make a name for himself in the process. The 5’7 point guard has the ability to do all offensively. Of course, one of the main things is shooting the ball at a high level, opening the floor for him to get in the lane for floaters or runners. Tremaine has a quick handle allowing him to break down defenders in the backcourt making it easy for him to find the open teammate once the defense comes to help.
It was definitely a tough weekend of Gamepoint having multiple closes losses but Max Mowrey Max Mowrey 6’2″ | SG Escondido Charter | 2025 CA-S kept his head high and played hard every game regardless of the outcome. He made winning plays time and time again on the offensive end of the floor in late-game situations. By getting to the rim and putting pressure on the defense causes them to foul. His heroics on offense weren’t the only thing that separated him from the rest, Max locked in on defense limiting opportunities for the other team.

Evan Griffin came into the tournament with a mission to do what he could to help his team get as many wins as possible and he was able to do just that. Evan was a lot for teams to deal with offensively at the Rocky Mountain Mayhem. Putting every bit of his game on display, whether it was attacking in transition or knocking down shots in the half-court. Coming into to the weekend as an unknown commodity, Evan has turned enough heads for us to keep an eye on him as the summer continues.
Pistol Chavez Pistol Chavez 6’3″ | SG Flatirons Academy | 2026 State CO was the clear leader of his Lightning team throughout the weekend, he brought energy every game which uplifted his team’s play. Chavez is a tough cover because he can do so many different things on the floor. Creating for himself off the dribble is how he was able to get going on offense, allowing him to help his teammates get going from 3 and made it easier for everybody around him.
