West Mania brought together some of the top shoe circuit and independent programs from the Western U.S. for a three-day event, complete with Circuit crossover games in the showcase break off at Cerritos College. In this piece we take a look at prospects who may not be on the recruiting board now but have potential to play at a high level.
Cameron Williams | 2026 | Vegas Elite 16s
Williams is a long and rangy forward who, at 6-feet-10, has an intriguing combination of fluid athleticism and offensive skill. The sophomore can step out on the perimeter and knock down face-up jumpers but is also a mobile rim-runner who can catch, gather and finish in one motion with his good hands and body control. Williams is already an imposing defensive presence as a rim protector.
Christian Collins Christian Collins 6'7" | PF Westchester | 2026 State CA-S | 2026 | Team Why Not 16s
Collins continues to improve at a fast rate. The 6-foot-8 forward can really get out and run the floor in transition where his slashing and finishing ability is at the forefront of his skill-set. Within half-court offense, Collins is a capable face-up shooter to the three-point line, an active offensive rebounder and can straight-line drive his way to the paint for high percentage finishes.
Delano Tarpley | 2026 | SA Future 16s
Tarpley is a highly-skilled true back to the basket center who has the feel, footwork and touch to be a go-to guy on the block. The 6-foot-9 rising junior put on a clinic with his post touches which included left and right hand baby hook shots, shot fakes to step through finishes and pure bully ball when he needed to.
Donovan Criss Donovan Criss 6'4" | SG San Antonio Brennan | 2026 State TX | 2026 | SA Future 16s
Criss proved to be one of the tougher covers in the 16u group because of his combination of quickness off the bounce and long strides, both of which helped him get past defenders and into the lane for high percentage finishes. Criss also showed a consistent three-point shot off the catch and a balanced mid-range jumper off the bounce.
Josh Irving | 2026 | Team CPSA
Irving is still in the infancy of his development but a guy who can run, jump and protect the rim at a wiry 6-feet-10 will always catch the eye of scouts and college coaches. We first saw Irving this past December in the Classic at Damien and the reps and court time alone have already proved beneficial as his feel and confidence have advanced. The Pasadena high school product is definitely one to track in 2026.
Rhys Robinson | 2028 | Vegas Elite 15s
Robinson made some headlines as a U.S. born player who has spent time overseas playing for Real Madrid’s youth program and, when watching him play, it’s easy to tell that he’s picked up on those fundamentals and feel for the game. At 6-feet-6, Robinson has point guard feel and playmaking ability with an unselfish approach to the game. In the game we watched, Robinson set the table for teammates in half court and open court settings, played at his own pace and rarely got sped up.
Trevon Carter-Givens | 2025 | Strive For Greatness
Carter-Givens was flying under-the-radar until last weekend. The 6-foot-8 forward hails from Templeton, a small town of some 7,000 people in the Central Coast of California. He was the San Luis Obispo County Player of the Year as a junior and will now have some Division 1 college basketball interest coming his way. The wiry rising senior is a fluid and bouncy athlete who can get up and down the floor in transition and finish at the rim. While still very raw from the standpoint of his offensive skill-set, Carter-Givens is an intriguing prospect.
