Session 2 of Addias 3SSB’s Circuit took place in Hoover, Alabama last weekend. There were over 100 teams in action across three divisions, with several high-level prospects playing above their age group. For example, a 2027 playing in the 16U Division or a 2026 playing in the 17U Division. These five prospects not only did that, but excelled at it. Check out which five stood out the most in Alabama playing up:
Josh Leonard Josh Leonard 6’6″ | CG Wilson | 2027 State SC is one of only a few 2027 Prospects who play in the Adidas 3SSB 16U Division – and he is one of the best overall players in the division. Leonard is a physical beast for his age and can play multiple positions due to his size, strength, athleticism, skill, and motor. He is a terrific rebounder and polished finisher from mid and close range. However, in the first half of a matchup with Phenom United, Josh showed flashes of his true potential. He was aggressive in getting downhill and finished with authority at the rim several times. In that game, he finished with 15 Points, 9 Rebounds, 2 Steals, and 1 Block.
Kesse-Beda is one of four 2026s who stood out playing in the 17U Division at Adidas 3SSB Session 2. He runs with Dream Vision and has an important role in their squad. He is a solid all-around player with a 3 & D mold. In a matchup with Team Loaded NC on Saturday Night, Yeshua started off connecting on both of his shots from behind the arc and immediately made an impact on the defensive end. He combination of size, strength, and quick feet make him difficult to beat off the dribble. Yeshua also has the athleticism to finish at the basket and a good handle to create off the dribble.
Latrell is a prospect I have become very familiar with between 3SSB last season and the Chic-fil-A Classic with John Marshall High School. After a terrific 15U Season, Allmond skipped the 16U Division and went straight to Team Loaded VA 17U, who sit a 9-0 after two sessions. He is a very skilled offensive prospect who is capable of scoring in the post with his back to the basket or facing up, and can even knock down pick-and-pop or spot-up threes. Latrell is also a good interior defender who impacts shots and controls the boards. In his final game in Hoover against Power 5, Allmond had 13 Points and 8 Rebounds, connecting on 3-3 attempts from the outside.
Darius is a True Point Guard Prospect who plays with Washington Warriors 17U. He had a couple of good games early in the weekend, putting up 9 Points and 7 Assists vs Brookwood Elite and 17 Points and 3 Assists vs Team Loaded VA. Bivins does a great job of balancing scoring and facilitating and can be trusted with the ball in his hands running an offense. He is very comfortable with either hand and has a great combination of dribble moves to keep defenders off balance. In pick-and-roll sets, he turns corners very well and does a nice job of reading coverages.
Highlights
Caleb Holt is the Top Prospect in Alabama’s 2026 Class and excelled playing in his home state this weekend. Holt played with the 17s last season and helped lead Game Elite to a terrific season, but now he is the true #1 Option. Caleb has the ball in his hands a lot and has great positional size and athleticism. He was frequently in attack mode, getting downhill to score at the rim or find open teammates. He plays with high energy and intensity and never takes plays off on the defensive end. Against Garner Road on Saturday Night, Caleb didn’t have his best offensive game, but got to the free throw line and pushed the pace in transition, going for 13 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 2 Steals.
