Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Kesse-Beda, #40 overall and #11 among the small forwards, has really developed his overall game over the last year. At 6’7″ with plus length and good athleticism, he has the ability to make a two-way impact and does so with a high motor. He’s a talented rebounder, is elite in the open floor, and has the ability to create his own shot off the bounce. Defensively, he can guard up and down a position, has the ability to make plays in passing lanes, and is really good at the top of a press. He’s a definite scholarship prospect that should play at the Division I level when it’s all said and done.
*After the release of this update, it was noted that Kesse-Beda will attend SoCal Academy this year.

New on our radar after moving cross-country from Rancho Christian (CA), Kesse-Beda shows the type of steady, low-maintenance impact we love to see from a wing prospect. He stands out immediately with his positional size and a chiseled frame, allowing him to guard up and down a lineup defensively. Kesse-Beda builds his offensive game around a smooth and reliable 3-point stroke off the catch, with a clear IQ in terms of his positioning and connective passing. He won’t be a fit for systems that require their wings to put it on the deck extensively, but his size and plug-and-play skillset figure to draw mid-major eyes in the region before long.

Kesse-Beda is basically the archetype of what NBA scouts are looking for these days; 6-foot-7, strong, excellent athlete who can shoot it from the outside and glide to the rim with ease. The California native is only a Junior and certainly needs to improve his feel for the game and ball handling ability, but the athletic tools are about as perfect as you could draw them up. His combination of size, athleticism and shooting will have college coaches drooling.

Kesse-Beda is one of four 2026s who stood out playing in the 17U Division at Adidas 3SSB Session 2. He runs with Dream Vision and has an important role in their squad. He is a solid all-around player with a 3 & D mold. In a matchup with Team Loaded NC on Saturday Night, Yeshua started off connecting on both of his shots from behind the arc and immediately made an impact on the defensive end. He combination of size, strength, and quick feet make him difficult to beat off the dribble. Yeshua also has the athleticism to finish at the basket and a good handle to create off the dribble.
