Few guards in this class bring his relentless energy to create chaos on that end. Always a threat to attack the rim, he drew a few fouls against North, reminding us about his enduring success at the 6A level.

Rhoades-Martinez is still among the best perimeter playmakers in the state, adept at leveraging his low center of gravity and handle to get deep into the paint. The lead guard has earned his reputation through his court vision and efficient scoring around the basket, adept versus bigger opponents. Defensively, he is no easy task to go up against, as he is both handsy and strong taking bumps. Denver South brings an incredibly intriguing group, featuring a blend of underclassmen and upperclassmen talent set for the collegiate level.

A rock solid lead guard, Martinez continues to display productivity on either end of the floor. Adept at creating steals or grabbing the defensive rebound to kick off a fast break, he is adept at reading the floor in fast paced situations. His speed and strength make him a difficult opponent to contain along the perimeter, particularly given his ability to facilitate through tight windows. Defensively, he routinely took on the best perimeter playmaker, making their lives difficult to say the least.

He has good vision and can get over quickly in help side. He will be a player to watch on both ends as he can get buckets as well.

He will be a prospect to keep on the radar as he can swing the momentum of a game with his defense.

Rhoades-Martinez is more than comfortable playing at full speed in transition, doing an excellent job getting into the paint to draw in the defense. Given his tight handle with either hand, the guard does an excellent job creating space for attempts around the rim. Defensively, Rhoades-Martinez is a pesky defender, quick to take away space to create a deflection. His low center of gravity and strong frame allows the guard to match up effectively against a wide variety of backcourt opponents.

Dom Martinez will be a name to remember for the next two years as his game is starting to come all together. He has a smooth offensive game, making him impossible to rattle throughout the game. At 6’0”, Maurice is a bigger guard which allows him to punish the smaller guards in the paint, while also being able to finish over the bigs. Though 4 games he was able to put up back-to-back solid games giving his team just enough offensely to put out wins.
