Continue ReadingIn two High School seasons Quick has established himself as one of the top shooters in the state. This weekend he displayed his shooting skills for a larger audience. He’s always been lethal in catch and shoot action, however he showed off other areas of his shooting ability. He was able to put it down for two or three dribbles, incorporating some nice mid range shooting into his game. He played well in many facets but it was his shooting that stood out.
Rose is doubling as a stockriser in this event. He did a lot of other things that I didn’t realize he was able to do, however he’ll most likely make his money as a shooter. He has good mechanics on his shot and does a tremendous job of moving without the basketball. I was impressed with several of his skills, however it’s clear, that his shooting is his signature skill.

Confidence might not be a strong enough word for Jones. The guard was geniunely suprised when his shot didn’t go in. He showed a good comination of catch and shoot situations along with a nice pull up jumper, making him one of the more versatile shooters I saw during the event.
I was really impressed with Cotton’s overall play, however it’s impossible to ignore his shooting. He made three quick triples in the game I watched, all of them coming with him playing with the ball in his hands. He is efficient with every movement, creating just enough space to get his shot off. The 2026 PG was efficient, knocking down 4 threes in the game I watched.
Jefferson makes the list because of the timing of his shots. He’s an Alpha that was not afraid to take clutch shots for his team. I saw him make back-to-back threes in both games I watched, to take his team from trailing to tied. IMO, the most pressure shots are the ones, a player faces when trailing, however Jefferson seemed to run to the moment and delivered on every occasion.
Highlights
In the past, Coleman was categorized as a Mid-range shooter, however he’s extended his range, as proven this weekend. The cerebral PG seems to only take the best shot for his team, but when he does it goes in. He proved to be a marksmen from behind the line, hitting multiple pull up threes in the game I saw.
