Cotton is off to a good start in June. He’s always been a prospect who can generate a bucket. He has different ways of getting his shot off around the basket in traffic. With ball in hand, and rhythm he’s difficult to stay in front of with his ability to make moves on his way into the paint for points and assists. His improved ball movement, and decision making adds balance to his game. He can knock down the 3-point shot in rhythm.

I was really impressed with Cotton’s overall play, however it’s impossible to ignore his shooting. He made three quick triples in the game I watched, all of them coming with him playing with the ball in his hands. He is efficient with every movement, creating just enough space to get his shot off. The 2026 PG was efficient, knocking down 4 threes in the game I watched.

I’m not sure what I was more impressed with, Cotton’s shooting, or his defense. He had some of the quickest hands I saw, absolutely demoralizing opposing ballhandlers. He’s a pick pocket that plays lock down on ball defense. Offensively he controlled the pace, calmly sinking threes whenever he was left open. Most impressively about his shooting, was that most of his made threes came off the bounce, as he was an expert at stopping on a dime before pulling up from behind the arc.
