It was another marvelous week of high-intensity basketball with everything these players and teams have been working for all season on the line. Curtis found their way back to the championship game and defeated league rival Olympia for their second consecutive 4A Title. After a week of madness and nonstop hoops, it's time to recap the top performers with the Prep Hoops choices for the MVP, 1st Team, 2nd Team, and 3rd Team All-Tournament.

MVP

[player_tooltip player_id='1450483' first='Zoom' last='Diallo'] | Curtis - 21.3 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg, 1.3 bpg, 59% FG, 6/9 3PT

Diallo was a no-brainer for MVP, leading the defending champions through the gauntlet to repeat as champs. He was the best player on the court each time Curtis tipped off, and affected the game across the board.

1st Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1270612' first='Vaughn' last='Weems'] | Federal Way - 19.6 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.3 spg, 1.7 bpg, 69% FG, 11/15 FT

[player_tooltip player_id='1270674' first='Andreas' last='Engholm'] | Olympia - 16 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1 spg, 1 bpg, 51% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='1217797' first='Parker' last='Gerrits'] | Olympia - 9 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 apg, 1.7 spg

[player_tooltip player_id='1450501' first='Henry' last='Sandberg'] | Gonzaga Prep - 16.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.8 spg, 51% FG, 7/16 3PT, 11/14 FT

[player_tooltip player_id='923122' first='Tyce' last='Paulsen'] | Curtis - 14 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg, 51% FG, 7/13 3PT

The 1st Team is highlighted by the second most impressive player at the tournament, [player_tooltip player_id='1270612' first='Vaughn' last='Weems']. Shooting nearly 70 percent from the field while scoring nearly 20 points per game, and racking up four stocks per game, he was simply on another level. Olympia's second-place squad boasts two first-teamers. Engholm provided a big scoring presence inside and out for the Bears, and while Gerrits struggled from the field, he didn't let that stop him from having a big influence on the rest of the game. [player_tooltip player_id='1450501' first='Henry' last='Sandberg'] led Gonzaga Prep to a fourth-place finish while efficiently scoring from everywhere on the floor and picking up tough matchups on defense. The first-team rounds out with another champion in [player_tooltip player_id='923122' first='Tyce' last='Paulsen'], and while the numbers aren't gaudy, he was timely in making plays, shot with precision from outside, and made a ton of plays that don't show up on the stat sheet.

2nd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1086705' first='Jamil' last='Miller'] | Gonzaga Prep - 16 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 49% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='1416731' first='Trey' last='Crandall'] | Skyline - 17.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.7 spg, 1 bpg, 52.5% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='923123' first='Dace' last='Pleasant'] | Federal Way - 18.3 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg, 2.7 spg

[player_tooltip player_id='1416284' first='Cinque' last='Maxwell'] | Curtis - 11.7 ppg, 7 rpg, 1.3 spg, 10/12 FT

[player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'] | Mt Si - 16.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.3 spg

The second team is headed by [player_tooltip player_id='1086705' first='Jamil' last='Miller'] who was an absolute force in the paint, scoring and rebounding for the Bullpups. Then we have [player_tooltip player_id='1416731' first='Trey' last='Crandall'] who made a significant impact on both ends of the floor although his Skyline Spartans failed to place at the tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='923123' first='Dace' last='Pleasant'] helped lead Federal Way to a third-place finish and was one of the top scorers from the week while also notching nearly three steals per game. [player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'] posted some big scoring games while doing a little bit of everything else as well, and led a few runs that nearly helped the Wildcats pull past Olypmia into the championship game. Then there is [player_tooltip player_id='1416284' first='Cinque' last='Maxwell'], the do-everything guy for the Curtis Vikings who had his hands on all facets of the game, picking up important defensive responsibilities while making plays on offense to help the Vikings repeat as champs.

3rd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1450494' first='Blake' last='Forrest'] | Mt Si - 14 ppg, 4.3 apg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 spg

[player_tooltip player_id='923112' first='Miles' last='Heide'] | Mt Si - 13.6 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 2 apg, 56% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='1270731' first='Theo' last='McMillan'] | Camas - 14.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 4.3 apg, 58% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='1450498' first='Lucas' last='Westerfield'] | Richland - 13 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 3 bpg, 50% FG

[player_tooltip player_id='1485541' first='Matt' last='Lindblom'] | Olympia - 9.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 11/11 FT

This third team has plenty of high-quality performers on it. Mt Si's [player_tooltip player_id='1450494' first='Blake' last='Forrest'] and [player_tooltip player_id='923112' first='Miles' last='Heide'] were exceptionally steady all tournament long and gave the Wildcats a formidable inside-out pairing on both ends of the court. [player_tooltip player_id='1270731' first='Theo' last='McMillan'] managed to score nearly 15 points per game without making a single shot from behind the arc, proving he is one of the fastest players getting down the court. [player_tooltip player_id='1450498' first='Lucas' last='Westerfield'] gave some of the best defensive performances of the tournament protecting the rim, while also showing some good touch inside and from the foul line. Then there is [player_tooltip player_id='1485541' first='Matt' last='Lindblom'], who seemed to fill all the gaps for Olympia and provide an edge and toughness that helped them to a second-place finish.
