Expert Analysis
Ross Van De Griek | Prep Hoops Scout
The 6-4 senior guard and Washington signee is a lead and confident prospect who plays with a combination skillset of size and speed. Offensively, Diallo has a ton of creativity where he is a good passer and has good handles of the basketball. He can also sneak by multiple defenders and finish above the rim as he’s not the quickest prospect. Defensively, Diallo has got more comfortable when it comes to guarding the ball as his instincts and playing under control have continued to improve. He also utilizes his strength and physicality where he can switch onto quicker guards in the half-court.

A quality guard with good size and skills, he’ll be at Washington next season. He has speed, plays at a good pace. He goes up and down the court attacking defenders off the dribble, getting into the lane, he’ll change directions, turn the corners, and finish high off the glass over taller defenders. He’s a good rebounding guard, keeps the ball live, he doesn’t mind mixing it up with the bigs going for rebounds. He gets it done on both ends of the court. 21pts 4rebs

Zoom is arguably the best player in the entire state. He took over for Curtis last year, leading them as a sophomore to a state title. Diallo is quick on the court and gets to the bucket very well. He attacks with force and finishes through or around traffic with ease. He hits his shots very consistently, especially when open. He could easily help the team go back to back.

Curtis has the best player in this one and every one they have played in the state this season. He will be a handful for Camas and can take over games. That ability to take over games will be a difference maker if the game is close. He can dominate the ball and the game.

Just like he did last year, Zoom is going to show up in the state tournament. Curtis is a top 10 team within their class, but many thought they could easily be #1. Diallo has big play capability and is able to go on an offensive tear any time he wants. He’s a top player in the entire COUNTRY and could be the next biggest name coming out of Seattle for basketball. He’s got great length, agility, and athleticism. There’s just not many who can keep up with him within the state.
