Provides Curtis with a real threat as a second scorer. He is a great shooter and will make teams guard him. If they focus on Zoom, he can be too good and thus a difference maker or equalizer.

Tyce is size and grace with a little dash of toughness thrown in. An elite shooter with a big body that plays on the glass, Paulsen is an integral part of the Curtis Vikings. He makes winning plays and starts from the jump, leaving his fingerprints all over the game night after night.

The sharpshooter out of Curtis is a poised, do-it-all player for the defending 4A champions. He’s going to score at a high rate and stuff the stats in all other departments. He was a high-level player last season that has only gotten better. Paulsen’s recruitment is still open.

Now that I’m done gushing about Diallo let’s get to the Viks other standout player who quietly does a lot of everything. Tyce is a tall guard with limitless range that has the clutch gene. He can hit from way back, with a hand in his face, and has great movement without the ball to sink or rise into open spaces and create good passing lanes. He’s an excellent rebounder and passer, both of which really stand out among high traffic areas. Paulsen plays with a high-level understanding of the game that helps him make plays in every situation.

No. 3 | The best way to describe Paulsen is simply a winner. Tyce executes at a high level while rarely making mental lapses. Anything you need, Paulsen will do it. He stuffs the stat sheet and has shown the ability to hit clutch shots, playing with a cool demeanor and laser focus. He helped lead Curtis to a 4A state championship last season and there’s no reason they shouldn’t be the favorite to repeat this coming season.

Tyce plays with such calm confidence when he’s on the court, and it’s no more evident than when he’s spotting up around the arc. He can hit from one to two feet back consistently, and from time to time even steps out beyond that. It’s an easy stroke without a ton of motion, but the simple stroke is one of the best around and Paulsen showed it all summer. He’s an excellent outlet when the defense collapses and can also save possessions by drilling contested threes with the shot clock running down. Paulsen’s calm focus has him as one of the best deadeye shooters from the summer.
