The second part of the the two headed defensive monster in the North backcourt. Ridge is a combative battler on the defensive end. And ever since the last half of his sophomore year when North made their first Class 6A State Tournament run always seems to step up in the moment for a big score or two. Tonight it was more on the defensive side of the ball, but he shined in his role as a key defensive cog for the Huskies all tournament long.

was a dynamic and intelligent player who changed the game with his passing, court vision, and smart off-ball play. Tatum proved to be an impressive lefty point guard who excelled when orchestrating the offense and keeping his teammates involved. Terrific court vision, Ridge delivered accurate and precise dimes from multiple different angles using either hand. His passes have a strong zip, showcasing his ability to thread the needle and hit his teammates the moment their opportunity arrives. Ridge displayed great control of the ball and played with excellent pace as he dictated the tempo of the game. On the defensive end, Ridge’s effort on the glass made it capable for him to initiate the offense in transition where his court vision was on full display as he surveyed the entire floor while on the move. Ridge’s basketball IQ while moving off of the ball were timely, very smart and quick to cut at the most opportune moments.

In the opening half of a Friday evening contest, the lefty lead guard showed how dangerous he can be with the ball in his hands. He has a smooth and in control style while driving, when he gets in the air he has good hang time and makes good use of his huge wingspan to either finish in traffic or find teammates with great passing. Ridge also buried an open three pointer when left open. The Edmond North Husky is a very well rounded guard.

. The junior guard emerged as a great facilitator last season as he helped lead the Huskies to a state championship. And coming off that state title, Ridge became more of a playmaker and scorer while playing with his travel team throughout the spring and summer. He’s a player that we got a chance to watch quite a bit and his shooting from the perimeter steadily improved and he’s going to be surrounded by fellow playmakers. We could see Ridge blow up in a big way this season.
