Sam Duren | Prep Hoops Scout
A lanky young guard, who is finding his footing with Texas EYBL squad Drive Nation. Went for double figures in a Friday victory, including a pair of threes. Caught him in person on Saturday, which wasn’t as quite of a clean shooting display. Still showed good fundamentals with not forcing looks, making the right passes, and the ability to pump fake and relocate. Has a bit of a gangly aspect to his movements right now, indicating the young tall guard could still be growing. Remains a top name to track in the Class of 2029.

Bly is an intriguing prospect to keep tabs on. Quieter freshman year compared to some given he played with Millwood and he’s also a football standout. But he has the size and early signs of a skillset that is often coveted by college coaches. Looks to still be growing into his body a bit, but once he physical matures more has the blueprint to become not only a knockdown shooter but also a complete scorer. A 15U summer will help indicate if football or basketball is his more likely next level path. As he’ll likely have options in both.

The Falcons have one of the best current crops of freshman in Oklahoma. There’s a handful of potential stars that could be highlighted, but let’s focus on a multi sport standout. Bly already has varsity experience from slinging it and running it on the football field as a QB. While there’s still some rust from the gridiron, he brings similar dynamic ability to the court. Complete with the ability to sling it from deep, as a shooter and a passer. Expect Bly and the other baby Falcons’ influence to grow throughout the year for the 405 juggernaut.
