The Titans went up with unarguably the top 15U team that is in the event to open up Day 1, and while the odds were stacked against them, you do get to see who competes and who does in these kinds of situations, and he made the most of the game. He still played the right way, competed, and had a few plays that popped. I like that he was still getting screens and passing. He was still shooting the mid-range jumpers and had a few over-the-shoulder drop finishes no matter who was around, and despite giving up major size and athleticism, was battling for boards and on plays. He’s a player who plays hard and the right way, and that stood out to me on Day 1. Curious to see how they build off of that game, and he’ll be a player I keep an eye on.

Erickson stood out defensively, using his length and quick feet to generate steals and force turnovers. His on ball pressure was disruptive, and he was able to get to the paint and finish through contact offensively. His two-way impact gave his team an added edge and helped them pour it on early.
