About Ashton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Ashton Steinmetz is a 2028 dual position player Shooting Guard and Point Guard at Broomfield High School in Westminster, CO. He plays for two clubs, Colorado Next Level and Triple Threat. Career-high 32 points, 3.2 GPA, competed in multiple Prep Hoops Tournaments, Recruit Look Tournaments.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a down-to-earth, kind, and believe in being positive and treating others with respect. I strive to be a peacemaker, not a troublemaker; to encourage those around me. Win or lose, I thank my coaches and referees after every game because I respect the effort everyone puts into the sport. I desire to compete and win, but when things don’t go as planned I learn and grow from my mistakes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Plays for Colorado Next Level Basketball and Triple Threat Basketball. 16U teams.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a true team player with exceptional court awareness and a natural ability to elevate those around me. I create opportunities that spark momentum for my team. Coaches praise my positive attitude and coachability. I build up my teammates, stay encouraging under pressure and thank the referees after every game.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In 2021, my father unexpectedly passef away. I was just 11 yrs old, my sister was 13. I was with my dad when he passed. I had to have the courage and composure to call my mom and 911 for help. While this tragedy was one of the most difficult experiences of my life, it shaped me into a resilient, strong, and determined young man I am today.
