is one of the best players to ever lace up the shoes for Wisconsin Lutheran. Not only is Prentice the all-time leader in assists, he’s also a recent member of the 1,000 point club. The 6’4″ senior guard does a little bit of everything. He’s averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. I fully expect Prentice to play and contribute at the next level. He’s got great size for a point guard, creates well, and is one of the better defenders in the conference. On the offensive end, he’s able to penetrate the defense to get to his spots and score in the paint. He can also stretch the floor and knock down a solid percentage of his three-point attempts (34.5%).

consistently puts in very well rounded performances, getting it done on both ends of the floor. When defending smaller guards he may be giving up quickness, but he covers a lot of ground in his strides and understands his angles to consistently get in front of the ball and cut his man off. Has quick hands to pick up steals and get going in transition. PJ has good body control around the basket to finish in traffic, and also has a nice turnaround jumper that he turns to when he gets into the paint off the dribble. When the shot isn’t there he has the vision to kick it out to an open shooter, and he was also picking up assists with his willingness to launch the ball up the floor in transition. Finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.

I thought Prentice was the most productive player on the floor for Wisconsin Lutheran on Tuesday night. Used his strong frame really well to get into the paint and bump defenders off of him before going up to finish. He’s not extremely quick but does a great job of using his frame to get guys on his shoulder/hip before getting all the way to the rim. Does well to play off of two feet allowing him to go up balanced and finish at a higher percentage. Defensively he’s going to sit deep in a stance and work hard to move his feet against smaller guards, and he also has great instincts on when to jump the passing lanes to pick up steals and get out in the open floor.
