The transfer student from California Lutheran Academy now is attending Wisconsin Lutheran and early reports have the skilled 6-foot-7 forward battling for a starting spot for a program that has won 88 of its last 90 games and three consecutive WIAA state championships. Treder competes with energy, size, strength and skill, assets that helped him average more than 40 points a game for a small school in California last winter. The transition from California to Wisconsin and from small school to one of the top programs in the Midwest will be a challenge, but Treder appears to have the makeup to make big contributions for the Vikings over the next two seasons. His ranking figures to improve as he becomes more well known in the state.
