Another Ohio Buckets
16 U prospect on the move, Waller has added much needed ball handling and quickness to a Toledo St Francis squad that is as tall as any team in Ohio. Waller is lightning quick on the basketball and has had some big scoring and assist games in June with his new team, fitting in well immediately as his skillset was exactly what the Knights needed. I’d expect Division I and II programs to come in bunches to watch the Knights at Midwest live this weekend.

on Thursday. Waller is a rhythm shot maker who is dynamic with the ball in his hands and provides a lot of on-ball juice offensively. With the size and defensive talent that the Knights already return from last season, an additional ball handler was a major addition to their team.
This will be the first time Waller will be at the Toledo Top 64, and after his impressive season as a freshman at Rogers, he deserves it. He is a smaller guard with a lot of skills to complement his game. He can score the ball against anyone on the floor. He is a creative player around the rim with good touch. I like his ability not to force it and take bad shots. He is a very skilled player and confident, but is smart enough not to force it. He will be a featured player at Whitmer this year.
A new name I found during Midwest Live, Waller is the next Whitmer guard with a ton of talent. After graduating Antione West Jr (Purdue) and Makhi Leach (Bowling Green) last season, there’s opportunity to rock out with the ball in your hands and Waller was the one taking advantage of that opportunity. Waller scored in transition, made shots and applied impressive defensive ball pressure from the point guard position when I saw him in Sandusky. Despite losing what Whitmer did to graduation, with Waller and Andre Young IIIAndreYoung III

back the Panthers will have one of the most talented backcourts in the Toledo area.
It takes a lot for a smaller guard to stand out like Waller did on Saturday as he was doing everything for Whitmer offensively. A lead guard who wants to create and score, Waller can get where he wants to off the dribble and scored off pull-ups, drives and in transition. Playing fast in all facets of the game, Waller will hopefully let the game slow down for him as he continues to get comfortable playing with some talented teammates at Whitmer and against some top competition he didn’t get to see as often as a freshman. The offensive skill Waller showed for his age was very impressive and he’s a guy I’ll continue to monitor his progress as he had a good weekend that should spark a breakout sophomore season for the Panthers.
