Bentley provided an excellent opportunity for evaluation by playing in two games at the camp, and it was interesting to see how his performance evolved. He struggled a bit early in his first game but settled in as the contest progressed and finished on a much stronger note. By the second game, however, he looked like a completely different player and put together a true coming-out performance. Bentley found a plethora of ways to put the ball in the basket, showcasing a versatile offensive arsenal. He connected on a few shots from beyond the arc and, while I would not classify him as a pure sniper, he made enough perimeter shots to keep defenders honest and prevent them from sagging off. His biggest strength offensively is his ability to pressure the defense. Whenever the ball was in his hands, he consistently found ways to get into the paint and force defenses to react. One area I would like to see him continue to develop is playing off two feet more frequently when attacking the basket. entley was equally impressive. He showed great instincts by jumping passing lanes and frequently coming up with steals that created extra possessions for his team.
Bentley did a great job of applying pressure all night for Alder. He knew how to beat the pressure running at him with one simple move and getting to the rim. He showed incredible finishing around the rim from many different angles. Did a good job of avoiding rim protectors and creating contact when needed. He showed some really good patience in the lane. This was impressive to watch, as I think his best ability is shooting. He played the game with such a high motor as well.
Maybe the leading PPG scorer in the entire fall league, Bentley can flat out get a bucket. Whether it’s beyond the arc or attacking off the dribble, Bentley is looking to put the ball in the hoop. After a strong freshman season for Jonathan Alder, all signs point to Bentley taking a sharp increase in production across the board this winter.
One of the top scorers at the fall league, Bentley can get a bucket at a high level. Whether it’s attacking off the dribble off closeouts or changing directions, Bentley is a slippery guard. Also one of the top shooters in central Ohio’s 2028 class, Bentley has the confidence to let it fly without hesitation. Expect a big season for Bentley at CBC powerhouse Jonathan Alder this winter.
One of the top scoring guards in the 2028 class, Bentley can get busy as a shot creator and perimeter shooter, excelling with the ball in his hands. Playing with some creative flair on the ball, Bentley is a tough cover because he can pull up from college range from deep or attack off the bounce. Incredibly talented scorer who can take a Jonathan Alder program to the next level as their defensive infrastructure is always elite year after year.
Our third standout from the freshman showcase back in the fall, Bentley is a very skilled guard who can light it up from downtown. As a freshman Bentley had eight games where he scored in double-figures for a Jonathan Alder squad that is always disciplined defensively. That defensive infrastructure paid off for Bentley this winter as he averaged 1.5 SPG. I’ll be on the lookout for Bentley with the Ohio Buckets
EYCL 15 U squad this summer as their roster is filled with intriguing talent from across the state.
Bentley is a freshman but does not play like it. He makes great decisions with the ball in his hands. He made some great plays late with the season on the line for him and his squad. He has great court vision. His head is always up and sees all his options before making his pass. He is a great playmaker in pick-n-roll situations. He has some good length. Can score it as well if you give him the lane too.
