Brady Sweet Brady Sweet 6'1" | SG Alder | 2027 OH can play on my team right away. He is a coach’s dream. He plays the game with such high intensity, competitiveness, and effort. He makes all the little plays and makes his teammates around him better. When he was taken out of the game, it was felt instantly, and vice versa when being put back in. Sweet showed great leadership all night. He does a great job of finishing around the rim with touch. He does not force anything that is not there. He knocked down some threes from beyond the arc. He plays at a great pace. Really big fan of him.

Sweet made a high percentage of his jumpers in a tight loss to Tri Village, a fellow state title contender. Sweet went 3/5 from 3-point range and continues his momentum after scoring 23 points in a two-point victory over Indian Lake. I liked how Sweet took shots on balance and didn’t force the issue after getting hot. Jonathan Alder has a talented team and should contend for a conference title despite an early season loss to Urbana.

Sweet has made shots from the perimeter almost every time I’ve seen him play and that was no different on Saturday. Defensively, Sweet also used active hands a couple times as a helpside defender. With his high school coach there to support him, Sweet was making a two way impact to hopefully give a preview of what he’ll do this winter for a Jonathan Alder squad looking to win a competitive CBC.

A CBC rival during the winter, Sweet is a teammate of Nickell during the fall league and got going as a perimeter scorer as the day went on. Sweet is a confident 3-point shooter and has the range to make shots a few feet behind the 3-point line. Able to create from a triple threat, Sweet used the jab step to create space to fire away from 3-point range. After getting some brief action at varsity as a sophomore, I’d imagine Sweet will be in the regular rotation for a Jonathan Alder squad that’s one of the more consistent mid division programs in central Ohio.
