Keystone had a great start to the season and with a majority of their rotation projected to return, I think 2026-27 is the season for the Wildcats to make some noise in the playoffs. Cowling shared Lorian County 8 and Lorain County Division V player of the year with teammate
Liam Goran

, as the duo form one of the best small school pairs in all of Ohio. Cowling actually led the Wildcats in scoring at over 23 PPG and knocked down 75 3-pointers this season. As a shooter, I noticed Cowling gets great lift on his jump-shot, which allows him to make contested shots with ease. The three-sport athlete plays basketball, football and track for Keystone and will be busy with the
Ohio Buckets
as well this spring and summer.

The robin to Goran’s batman for the Wildcats, Cowing is an elite perimeter shooter who can knock down shots off movement. I also enjoyed watching Cowing attack the basketball in mid-air, getting some contested rebounds over taller players. With so much young talent getting minutes, Keystone could be even better next season and that’s a scary thought for their opposition.
