One of the top shooters in central Ohio's 2028 class, Stanley can light it up from long distance. I got to see Stanley a handful of times at the Midwest Fall League and see his growth throughout the season and see him build chemistry with his New Albany teammates before the season started. A high academic prospect, Stanley should be on high academic small college radars once they get around to recruiting the class of 2028 seriously. In the meantime, I'll be looking for Stanley to show improvement as an athlete and defender because I already know his offensive game has major strengths.

Cleveland Heights had a sneaky group this season and ended up winning a district in northeast Ohio's Division I Region I. Williams played a major role on a senior laden group but physically you couldn't tell he was two grades younger than a majority of his teammates. Williams is almost built like a linebacker with strong shoulders and a compact frame. I was impressed by Williams feel for the game, making some quick decisions as a live dribble passer. Checking a lot of boxes as he can knock down time and space 3-pointers, defend multiple positions, rebound and make an advanced passing read, Williams is just a solid overall prospect.

Keystone had a great start to the season and with a majority of their rotation projected to return, I think 2026-27 is the season for the Wildcats to make some noise in the playoffs. Cowling shared Lorian County 8 and Lorain County Division V player of the year with teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2800799' first='Liam' last='Goran'], as the duo form one of the best small school pairs in all of Ohio. Cowling actually led the Wildcats in scoring at over 23 PPG and knocked down 75 3-pointers this season. As a shooter, I noticed Cowling gets great lift on his jump-shot, which allows him to make contested shots with ease. The three-sport athlete plays basketball, football and track for Keystone and will be busy with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] as well this spring and summer.

Martini starts a theme of multi-sport athletes who prioritize another sport in this article. Martini is an elite baseball prospect who also had quite the sophomore season on the Hardwood, helping New Philadelphia advance to the district final and compete in the Convo in Athens, where I saw him play. Martini's off-ball movement and perimeter shot making ability stood out for a Quakers program that has a winning tradition that requires toughness. Look for Martini to impact winning in multiple sports for New Philadelphia, an athletic powerhouse program in the east district.

A player I got to see in the state title game for Division VI, Hess is a three-sport standout for Marion Local, who plays quarterback for the Flyers in the Fall, forward in the winter and third base in the spring. Physically, Hess has a strong and athletic frame which allows him to transition from season to season so effortlessly and continue to make an impact. I liked Hess rebounding and interior scoring with either hand in the game against Berlin Hiland, taking a match-up against a top 20 prospect in our 2028 rankings. Talented multi-sport athlete who should have college interest in multiple sports!

The last prospect added to our 2028 rankings, Ball is a standout on the gridiron and already holds an offer to Cincinnati and has lined up visits to Ohio State, West Virginia, Penn State, Indiana and Maryland. With his future on the gridiron at the college level, Ball is a dominant wing athlete who flies around the court and throws down monster transition dunks. Playing in a deliberate Oak Hills offensive system, Ball gives them a different athletic edge that most of Coach Price's teams haven't had. Ball was a big reason why Oak Hills was able to go on a run to the regional final this season. Top football prospect but also a winning high school basketball player as well.
