It’s always refreshing to see a young big make huge strides in their game after not watching them for a while. I hadn’t seen Stromer in person in about a calendar year and his development is night and day from where he was 12 months ago. Stromer had a steal that led to a Breakaway dunk and had another dunk on a pick and roll play that was exactly what I’ve wanted to see him do. Stromer still needs a lot of work defensively but that should come in due time and his offensive skill improvement has him on track for a nice rankings boost come the next update.

After playing his freshman season at Olentangy Liberty, Stromer made the transfer to Columbus Wellington where he will immediately be a featured player on that team. Stromer showed flashes for Nova Village on the UAA circuit at the 15 U level. Stromer can play above the rim and work with his back to the basket. Excited to see Stromer continue to grow and he should put up impressive numbers on a small school schedule this winter.

I was intrigued by the future potential of Stromer due to his size, ability to move his feet and activity in the paint. Stromer scored as a roll man, had multiple putback layups and blocked a couple shots in the game I saw. Still developing some other aspects of his offensive game, Stromer seems like a player we’ll be monitoring over the next few years to track his improvement.
